I shimmy my coral dress over my head, groaning as I realize it won't go past mid thigh. I throw the dress on the bed in frustration, and finally decide on a loose fitting British Flag Tee and some jeans. I turn to face my reflection in the mirror, terrified of what I might see. To my surprise, I see myself. I may be a little curvier around the edges, but still me.
"You almost ready?" Violet's sing song-y voice asks through the door.
"Yeah," I reply, smearing lip gloss messily across my lips before throwing my makeup bag into my duffel. I swing open the door, and see Violet sitting in the middle of the carpet, arms crossed as if she's frustrated. I sling the heavy bag over my shoulder, nearly sinking to the ground with its unbearable weight.
"Here, let me take it." Violet insists, reaching for the bag. I reluctantly hand over the bag, and the feeling returns to my shoulder. Vi picks up the bag with ease, but I see her grimace as it makes contact with her shoulder, and try to surpress a smile. "What have you got in here, love? Rocks?" She asks jokingly before hurrying down the stairs. I trot after her, a smile perminately plastered onto my face. "Ready to go?" She asks, opening the front door and causing me to squint as a result of the light streaming through the crack. I nod, and hurry down the front porch steps.

I tap my feet nervously as I finger the small box in the pocket of my jacket. My small roller bag suitcase sits beside me, propped against an old used bike. The roar of an engine, most likely a car, startles me out of my daydream. My sister's small red ford slowly climbs up the rocky driveway, music pumping happily throughout.
"You're late!" I yell, grabbing my suitcase and hauling it into the trunk. I switch spots with Violet, opting to drive, I know her driving skills, Trust me, I do not want to ride with someone who failed their driving test three times before finally getting it. "You Look Beautiful." I say, giving Kylie a peck on the cheek and a small reassuring hand squeeze. I can hear Violet making gagging noises in the back seat but choose to ignore it.
"If you're going to kiss, can you at least tell me so I can turn away?" She asks, sounding like she's being strangled.
"Close your eyes." I inform her before grabbing Kylie's face and navigating it to mine, connecting with her through a soft kiss. The engine roars to life as I turn the keys in the ignition. The sun shines brightly, warming the back of my neck. I breathe in the scent of spring as we drive down the rough, gravelly road. I wrap an arm lazily around Kylie's shoulders, and she relaxes as soon as my skin connects with hers.

"I love you, you know that right?" Niall asks me, staring intensely into my eyes.
"I know." I mumur, I focus my eyes on a shaggy carpet square, trying to avoid his all-knowing gaze. Violet sits across the room in a large plush chair, flipping lazily through the pages of a magazine.
"Flight 371, please prepare for boarding!" The too cheerful flight attendant speaks after the intercom dings to life. Niall stands up slowly, and wraps an arm protectively around my waist, guiding me to the next waiting area. We wait for what seems like forever before the flight attendants tell us yes, we are ready to board, and yes, the plane is totally safe. (The second part was my question) Having never flown before, I suck in a deep breath and lean into Niall as we start up the steep ramp. Our feet make clangy, echo-y sounds on the metal floor, causing the scenario to seem so much more eerie. Violet slugs along behind us, fully entraced on whatever she's doing on her phone. We finally reach the actual plane and find our seats. I'm surprised when I see that no seatbelts are attatched to the seats.
