Chapter 6

Callie's POV

Me and Lena were eating our breakfast when she informed me, that Stef and Brandon were coming over for dinner. I'm honestly not that sure if I feel comfortable around Stef or Brandon yet, but I guess I'm going to have to try to be nice- there was a knock at the door. Since I was in my room setting up my stuff and Lena was out getting stuff for dinner, I went to answer the door.
When I opened it, I was shocked by who was in front of me. Alex. " Hey," he said and I could tell he was a bit nervous.
With everything that's happened I really didn't have time to think about what happened before I left. " Hi."
I stepped aside so he could come in. After shutting the door, I walked over and hugged him. When we pulled away he said," I couldn't get what happened between us out of my head. My mom went out of town, so I took the car and drove strait here. I don't care if you don't feel the same way about me, I just needed to see you."
I smiled. He really is the sweetest guy ever. I want to feel the same way so I said," I will give us a try."
He seemed shocked. " Really?"
I nodded and he pulled me towards him, and kissed me. Kissing him wasn't that bad, and I guess if we date I will get used to this.
After kissing for a few seconds, I pulled away and asked," How long are you going to be here?"
His smile widened as he said," Only for the weekend, but my mom may let me stay here sometimes if that's okay with Lena."
" I'm sure it will be," I said, trying to be optimistic.

Brandon's POV

Me and my mom were eating dinner at Lena's house when this other guy walked in. He didn't look at all like Lena or Callie so I am assuming it isn't Callie's brother. " Sorry to interrupt the dinner, but I got kind of bored," he said with a dumb laugh.
I looked over to Lena and she said to him," Oh it's fine. Why don't you come eat with us, Alex."
Wow, even his name was dumb. He took a seat next to Callie and whispered something in her ear. " Callie, introduce Alex to Stef and Brandon," Lena said.
" Oh right. Alex, this is Stef and Brandon. Stef, Brandon this is Alex," Callie said as Alex flashed a crappy smile.
Of coarse he had to add," I'm her boyfriend."
Wait what?! Callie has had a boyfriend all this time! Lena, for some reason, seemed surprised as well and asked," Oh. When did this happen? I wish you would have told me that when you two practically spent the whole day alone with each other."
Alex chuckled," Trust me Lena. We didn't do anything wrong."
My mom smiled and said," You two seem very close."
" Yeah, I was Callie's first best friend," this guy is full of crap.

Callie's POV

  I feel so embarrassed. I don't know why, I mean Alex is my boyfriend, but the moment he announced that in front of Brandon I wanted to deny it. I can tell Brandon doesn't like him, then again I don't think Brandon really likes anyone. " We met my first day at my old school," I added.
  Brandon seemed to keep his attention on Alex as he said," If he was such a good friend, why complicate things and turn it into a relationship?"
  I scoffed," What's your problem? What, is me being in a relationship going to hurt your god damned feelings?"
  That shut Brandon up, I don't know why it did, but it did. Alex chuckled to himself, uncomfortably and said," I don't mean to cause any issues."
  " You didn't, but why don't you go wait for me in my room," I looked at Brandon out of the corner of my eye and continued," then we can figure out sleeping arrangements."
  I totally forgot about the adults in the room, until Lena said," Excuse me? Sleeping arrangements?"
  I turned to look at her and clarified," I didn't mean it like that."
  I always wondered why Stef never really talked around me, but it's fine I guess. Alex smiled and said," Okay, sure."
  He was about to get up to leave, when I grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards me to kiss him. I don't know why I want to kiss him right now, but I am.
  He pulled away and we exchanged smiles. After he left I noticed Brandon sitting there with his fists clenched. I ignored it. He is probably pissed that I don't give a shit what he thinks.
  Once Stef and Brandon left, I went up to my room to find Alex holding my blade. " What the hell is this?"
  I tried grabbing it from him, but he moved his hand back. " It's nothing. Just give it to me," I can't loose that blade.
Alex gave me a saddened and disappointed look. " Cal, you promised me you would stop cutting months ago."
  " I know, but things changed. Please, I promise that I'll stop," I pleaded.
  He put the blade carefully in his pocket and said," This is for your own good."
  Alex left my room, assuming he was going to go tell Lena. I can't deal with the speech again about how cutting myself is "bad". I know it isn't something to be proud of or anything, but I can't stop. I went to get my other blade (I have four) and rolled up my sleeves. Since my long sleeved shirt would stain with blood if I didn't cover them up with a bandaid, I went and grabbed a few. I instantly started cutting, feeling the sharp pain as I did.
  I usually stop at a certain point so I don't pass out from the lack of blood, but this time's different. As I stared at my bleeding wound, the room began to fade. The last thing I heard was a 'thud' sound coming from my body as I hit the floor.

Hahahaha cliff hanger. Do you guys like Alex and Callie being together? Why do you guys think Callie was so defensive at dinner?Btw Callie and Brandon have their moments, but most of the time Callie will be defensive or rude so yeah. Thanks for reading!
