Deathtale SANS x scavenger Reader

The wind howled through the empty buildings of a once fruitful city. I've been on my own for as long as I can remember...about a couple of years now and I'm left to fend for myself. My shoes were worn the soles coming out and holes poking the sides, my clothes weren't any better but that was because I couldn't find any. I'm searching for food in this wasteland of what used to be a beautiful and flourishing city now, there is nothing but broken Windows and buildings, vines crawling up their exterior as the plants made it their new home. It had been a war zone.

This all started a couple years back I didn't have the best life but I wasn't poor and I still had people who cared about me....people who are dead. Monsters had been freed from the underground and they fit in well with society but something terrible happened that day.....I can't remember what it was whenever I did it always came up blank, but it was the event that changed history, that caused another war between the humans and monsters and this time no one really won. We both lucked out in the end, we reduced our buildings to nothing but rubble and dust, killed of most of the wildlife and plants that grew. There were still a few that survived and they are still fighters continuing their a G's of violence regardless of the fact Thayer its what destroyed so many lives.

I've witnessed to many deaths that a person my age should of seen, I watched as a child was brutally murdered in front of me. Right now in This world it was everyone for themselves. I didnt want to fight so I became a lone wolf, a scavenger to keep me going, but what is the point.....life is already dead as we know it, you can hardly find a good yet alone water around here. But at the same time I've never really strayed far from. The city, maybe because I'm stuck in here, if I were to leave I'd killed by the scouts wether they be human or monster......that's how it is.

I'm in the northern part of the city digging around piles of debris​ for anything good, I found a military knife could be useful. I found a bag of chips and that's it......food is scarce and I haven't eaten or drank water in two days. I looked at the night sky....I would have to get out of the city if I wanted to survive. I walked back quite a few blocks to where my base is, hidden in an underground dance club. I walked down stairs then paused to see the door open....I know I didn't leave it open when I left. I walked through the door being careful of making any noise and took out the knife. But I got jumped as soon as I entered inside the building.

I tried fighting back but there​ were three of them. The stole my stuff leaving me there only left with my knife.

"Damn it!"

I scrambled to get up running out the door after them but it was to late they already escaped into the night. Soft curses left my lips and my eyes brimmed with a new found sense of determination. I was going to get out of the city tonight. There was nothing left for me to carry since they stole everything I have so I traveled light. I went back to the northern part of the city but going deeper and switching northwest. I knew of a old tunnel somewhere around here, not many people would know this since it was pretty much lost to history. After feeling around a bit I found it.

"Yes!" I whispered into the night and crawled inside, I was just small enough to fit. The tunnel was a bit musty and wet, i refrained from yelping when I felt something run across my hands, I pushed forward until I made to the other side feeling dirt under my hands. There were trees on this side flourishing, there was still beauty to this broken world and I didn't want to give up on it. I walk through the dark forests only the soft light of the moon making it possible to see. Only the sound of my feet walking on leaves and branches filled the night air.

'GRAOOWLLLLL"

My stomach growled in hunger, I hoped I could find at least some berries around here. Its been twenty minutes of walking and I found nothing, I reached a part of the woods where and incline started.
