Underswap Sans X READER| Why did I do that?

Its been two years since I broke the barrier and befriended all the monsters. I lived with skelebros one of my closest friends I and grown to have fallen deeply in love with one of them however.

...And I confessed

He started to avoid me after that and it made me upset. He never responded so I don't know how he felt. I tried many times to confront him but he only avoided me.

I let out a sigh as I walked into the house and saw papyrus lounging on the couch.

"Hey papyrus, have you seen sans?"

"He left awhile ago" he answered

"Oh" I say disappointed

And was about to go into the kitchen when I heard the door open. I turned around and perked up a bit about to walk to sans when his gaze fell on me. He seems alerted and left as Soon as he came.

Papyrus saw this, he knew sans had been avoiding you and he felt bad for you.

"......I...I don't understand, why is he avoiding me?" you questioned sadly and decided to go to your room instead.

You set on the bed and then laid on your back as you let out a long sigh and your brows furrowed. You began to feel worse about the situation and you hated it.

The next day after getting dressed you went downstairs and heard some water running in the kitchen.

You quietly walked in and sat down at the table where the plates were rested.

" good morning..." you say

You notice blue flinch a bit and went back to washing

"Good morning!" he said in his usual way...but it seemed forced

You picked up your fork and looked at your food suddenly loosing your appetite, not because it looked bad or anything, blue became a wonderful cook.

"S......sans why a-"

"Papyrus still isn't up yet, that lazy bones"

You frowned and dropped your fork as tear prickled your eyes.

"I...I'm not hungry, I'm heading out" you said shakily and stood out of your seat and left the kitchen , heading out the door.

Just as you had left papyrus was heading down the stairs. Papyrus entered the kitchen to see sans looking at your untouched plate sadly and he sighed.

Sans head looked up when he heard papyrus.

"Sans...I know this is between you and y/n, but you have to talk to her, your only hurting her by doing this" he said

Sans let out a sigh himself

"....I know" he said sadly

I walked down the sidewalk with ferverent thoughts clouding my head and I paused and sat on a bench.

I placed my head in the palm of my hands and groaned.

"I wish I hadn't confessed to him, why did I do that?"

And then I remembered, I must of made him uncomfortable....me and blue had went on a date before when I had fallen in the underground. I had not had those feelings for him before. He was adorable yes, but I had not felt that way...we had decided to keep our relationship platonic....when had I forgotten.

It was my fault things ended up like this, all my fault. I would of rather kept my feelings hidden than have him avoid me for the rest of his life....it hurts.

I let out a shakey sigh and states there a few hours more before heading back home.

I entered the house and began walking upstairs passing sans on the way. My heart clenched and I bit my lip as I head into my room and closed the door softly.

I sat on my bed and let silent tears fall only to quickly wipe them away when I heard a knock.

"Come in..." I say as brightly as I could

I was surprised to see it was sans when he opened the door and eneter and I looked away.

Sans closed the door softly and nothing was said between us two until I decided to break the silence.

"....I'm sorry" I said easily

Sans looked at me With confusion and surprise.

"Why are you-" he began gently but I cut him off

"If I hadn't of confessed, you wouldn't be avoiding me....are doing this just to spare my feelings?" I asked but he said nothing

"If you are...and you don't feel the same way, its okay, I...I just don't want you to avoid me anymore...it hurts" I cried

I couldn't read sans expression.

"...I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable with it, l..lets just forget about it...please?" I smiled sadly

".......no" he said and surprise mounted my face

"W..what why" I became saddened again and the tears fell

Suddenly sans was kissing me on the lips and my eyes widened.

He pulled away and had a bright blue blush on his face.

"W..Wha..y..you" I turn red and then he hugged me

"I'm sorry for avoiding and making you feel this way, I'm so sorry for making you cry" blue said guilty

"When you confessed.....I...I was embarrassed that's why I did all those things, and then every time I looked at you or heard your voice I got all flustered, I'm so sorry y/n"

I said hugging me tighter

"Y...you were embarrassed..t..that's why you avoided me?"

"Y....yes, I understand if you-"

"N..no" you clung onto the back of blues shirt and buried your head into his chest

"I want to stay with you, just...don't avoid me again" you sighed

Sans hugged back and kissed your forehead

"I promise....I love you y/n" he blushed

"I love you to blueberry"
