We received a new student in the last month of Spring. Everyone thought it was a bit late for a transfer but regardless he fit in like he had been with us the whole time. When I first saw him in front of the class time seemed to slow down. He wasn't that tall but was much taller than me. He was a skeleton that had hair that's seemed as fluffy as a cloud. His gaze seemed like it could melt a stones heart and his personality was something that made everyone like him.

It was odd. He joined the art club a couple weeks ago. He seemed to have been searching for one but none seemed to apply to him. It was only me in the art club but he decided to join anyways. He drew interesting things and had good ideas. I really liked his drawings. He's never shown them to me but I always snuck peeks at them.

Although it was us in the room by ourselves at the end of the day I wanted to get closer to him. He always seem to have this far away look in his eyes never really looking at the things in front of him.

I looked over at him, It's secretly drawing him and noticed that far away look on his face again as he looked out the window. His hand rested on his sketch book and the breeze passed into the classroom rustling his hair gently.

It felt like something inside of me swelled.

"Cil?" I called out to him

He turned to me with a casual smile.

"Yes?"

"We're getting new supplies for the art room tomorrow so we have to pick them up" I was lost in his gaze

"Ok, say you don't really speak much do you y/n?"

"me?...I wouldn't say that,  I just don't have much to say...or anything interesting any one would want to hear. "

"That's not true... " Cil said

"Huh"

"I would always listen to you , what you have to say is just as interesting as anyone else" he smiled

My cheeks grew hot and it was at that moment I knew. Cil stole my heart.

"Then....I'll try speaking more"

Whenever I had the chance I would always talk to Cil and try to close the gap between us.  But even so,  it just seemed hard.  It always felt like there was an invisible wall placed between me and Cil and I didn't know why.

Cil and I was carrying some of new paints to the classroom. I glanced over at him deciding to make conversation.

"Where did you come from,  before you can here?" I asked

"Somewhere far away,  where the stars were always the brightest" he answered in a thoughtful manner.

"...it must of been beautiful..."

"It was"

"Do you miss it?" I ask him

"I do... But the place you belong to is just as beautiful" he smiled

I felt my heart pound in my chest once more. I faltered a few steps behind Cil as we got closer to the classroom. He opened the door and turned to me.

"Y/n"

"Sorry" I ran to catch up and ended up tripping.

I expected to painfully hit the floor but instead only the paint fell Cil caught me. I could hear my heart pound painfully in my ears as he held my waist.

A gentle breeze blew and his hair seemed to glimmer in the sunlight. It was then I understood. Cils hair in a way seemed to reflect the galaxy and I couldn't help but get lost in it, in him.
