Reminisce

Each of us had smiles stretched to the moon and back.

You both had decided to tie the non existent metaphorical knot.

It was pretty exciting. You had never fallen for a guy this hard. Or basically at all.

You weren't usually the type guys sought after. It's a hard knock life isn't it?

How in the world did you land a God for christ sakes? It still baffled great minds to this day. (Aka Bruce and Tony)

You stare into his eyes for what seemed like hours, then he chuckled looked at the clock and said, "You have won the award for '5 Minutes of Uninterrupted Eye Contact' and it was beautiful."

Your nose crunched up as you smile and fall back onto the bed.

"Am I dreaming? Punch me and see if I wake up. Because if it's a dream this is very unfair."

He kissed you lightly. "I assure you love this isn't a dream."

"Just punch me."

He chuckled. "Never will I ever."

He rolled on top of you, he pinned you up in his arms and held you closely.

"No just cmon and punch me it needs to be real."

He kissed your forehead. "I assure you love it's real."

"Okay I trust you."

You woke up the next day and went on with the finishing touches to the feast.

Then there was a knock at the door.

You answer it and everyone piles in. "Nice place kid." Tony says.

"I know it's not much but it's cute."

"It is." Steve said looking around.

You start to tell everyone what food there is and Natasha pulls you aside.

"Is that an engagement ring?"

You smile at it. "It is."

"When ya gonna tell everyone?"

"After we eat."

She nods and smiles. "I'm happy for you kid."

You help people get plates and everyone is happily enjoying themselves.

Loki walks in and takes his seat next to you, while everyone's laughing and reminiscing. "I'm glad everyone's here."

"Me too, it's nice to have the gang back together."

He chuckles. "Of course love."

"It's just relaxing to have everyone here. It's been awhile."

Steve walked over and sat down beside you. "I hope everything went as you hoped it would."

"Yeah." You take Loki's hand. "It really has."

Steve smiled. "Good... I also hope you cooked a lot because Thor looks hungry."

"I've got it covered bro."

Bucky walks over, with his arm in his hand. "Um where's the bathroom?"

"That way." You point down the hall.

He smiles and walks away waving his arm.

Bruce smiles at you and points to your hand inconspicuously. He gives you a thumbs up.

Tony was to busy talking to Bruce to about somethin sciencey to even notice.

Nat and Clint were arm wrestling over who gets the last dinner roll.

Abbie was teaching Thor how to play patty cake.

This is your family. And you loved it.

This is what you're all about.

You smile and squeeze Loki's hand happily. "I love these guys."

"Yes. I have come to live joyously with them as well."

You smile, not because you were soon to be married, but because they were here. He was here. With you.

You felt all these good vibes float around you like Tony's suit.

This is what you missed truly. Just the essence of them. Their mere presence. The conversations were just a bonus.

Natasha groaned loudly.

You thought they were fighting. But they weren't.

They were actually playing patty cake. Literally everyone here was a good solid 5 year old child.

That's what you missed.

Bucky walked out with his arm attached, but he walked straight to the fridge and started putting magnets on it, because it seemed to make him relaxed and calm.

You look around at all the happy and familiar faces, and you just felt joy and excitement surge through your veins.

Loki looked at you. "You seem quite ecstatic."

"I don't even know why. I mean I do, but I also don't, but like it's I understand all of it except a little. Do you get that?"

"Not one bit, but I believe whatever you say."

You sigh happily. This was just unreal.

You were going to get married, and so far no intergalactic wars have broken out. So that's a plus.

It had been so calm, so tranquil.

You were all laughing and cutting up, when there was a knock at the door.

You open it, seeing Frigga and two others, you invited them all in.

Frigga smiled. "I'm so happy for you two, it's been a wonderful event."

Steve looked up. "What?"

Frigga clapped her hands together. "They're getting married!"

Everyone erupted into cheers and woops. 

The two people standing behind Frigga were clapping.

The man stepped forward, looking around, "She's aged beautifully, and I'm not talking about my cabin."

The woman nodded. "Indeed she has."

"Wait- Mom? Dad?"
