Sorry this is a bit after i got 20 votes. I was trying to formulate ideas.
I got distracted by 1D singing live video. Oops.
Harry was sweating almost profusely. It was time. The sun was just setting, leaving a beautiful cast of oranges, blues, purples and pinks across the sky. The fairy lights Louis insisted on putting up added an extra romantic feeling to it all.
This could go one of two ways. Yes or no. Point blank. If Louis said no, Harry would ache inside but he'd get over it. If he said yes, well, then they'll get married.
The thought of doing in front of everyone terrified Harry, he didn't think he'd be able to do it.
"Mum, Mum, Mum," Harry chanted.
"What love," Anne chuckled at her son.
"Nothing," He replied after hugging her, which calmed his nerves a bit. Anne rolled her eyes and went to go find a chair to sit down in.
Harry ran inside to grab the ring case out of his drawer. This was it, he was doing it. Proposing to the love of his life.
Harry found Louis and drug him into a farther into their lawn, where there weren't as many people. Jay saw what was happening and smiled, taking out her phone to record. She wasn't close enough to get their voices, but she didn't want to disturb the two. She knew Harry was nervous enough as it was.
"What'd you need H?" Louis asked, confused as to why Harry wouldn't just whisper in his ear what he needed.
"Lou, I need you to not say anything for a bit, okay?" Harry asked. Louis nodded slowly, ideas formulating in his head. "I, um, I'm nervous, so bare with me."
"Haz," Louis whispered, knowing now what this is.
"By now you've probably already figured out what I'm doing, and you might tell me no, and you might tell me yes, but, that's a chance I'm willing to take. Louis, I love you so much, and I've never loved anyone more than you. You brought out a side of me I thought I lost. And for that I wanna thank you. I'm not gonna lie to you, I'm shitting my pants because I'm so nervous. And I had this speech I wanted to say but I've forgotten it all and, just," Harry said, not noticing the tears forming in Louis' eyes as he knelt down, pulling the ring out of his pocket. "Marry me?"
Louis gasped and nodded his head as he mumbled out a yes. There was clapping and cheers around them as Harry stood, placed the ring on Louis' finger, and kissed him with everything it was worth.
When they pulled away, you could see the pure happiness in their eyes, and showing through their smiles.
