I pushed some more stuff in the buggy for the house before I got to Trina so we could check out.
I had told Ray we would be back around 2:30 and it was only 12:30. My eyes scanned the condiments section when I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket and I pulled it out seeing Trina told me to meet her by the door.
I grabbed the condiments that I needed before going to the front door as she asked and saw her with her buggy next to her talking to someone.
I walked up to her and realized who the person she was talking was and literally I felt my heart skip.
"Chandra!?" I exclaimed making them stop talking and Cha smiled at me and reach out for a hug.
"Hey girl," She smiled pulling me into her.
We hugged it for a while which ended up being a long one. She squeezed me and I felt like giving in and crying.
"It's okay. You're going to be okay." She soothed me rubbing my back and I nodded sniffing before pulling away.
Cha looked at me with the most sympathetic look she could give and she grabbed my hands.
"I leave on Friday. Gives you three days to get your stuff together without him even realizing it and then we're going to my place." She instructed and I nodded sniffing.
"This is so surreal. Having to runaway from my own home just to get away from a guy that I love but also scared of." I exclaimed as a tear fell down my eyes.
"I know girl. I gave you advice senior year to leave him but you stayed." Chandra said.
"You know I couldn't leave him. I was the only person he had besides Trina. He needed me." I sighed.
"Oh and he also needed to hit you upside your head every few often too and give you black eyes as well too huh?" She asked giving me her look she always used to give me.
I rolled my eyes and shrugged her off not even answering her and turned around to finish my shopping.
We continued on our shopping before checking everything out.
We loaded everything in Trina's car separating her bag from mines.
"Look you know I love you and you my girl. I only want you happy." Cha explained walking up to me and I nodded biting my lips.
"Yeah I know." I said.
"Why are you still with him?" She asked crossing her arms around her chest.
