"Now the craft is kind of hard to understand," Aunt Sarah said, "it took me until I was fifteen years old officially understand." Aunt Sarah explained. "Every witch starts off with the basics." I watched Aunt Sarah but down two candle sticks on the window cell.
"The easiest to learn is, Telekinesis." Aunt Sarah explained.
"CJ would you like to go first?" Aunt Sarah asked. I got off the bed and stand in front of one of the candle sticks.
"Now, focus on the candle." I did as she said. My mind was completely focused on the candle stick.
"This is really hard, so-" Before Aunt Sarah can finish her sentence, the candle stick flew into my hands. I starred at it for a while until my brain fully understand what was going on.
"That was awesome." I said with a smile spreading across my face.
"You're mom taught me that, the first thing I learned." Aunt Sarah said with a smile.
"Alright Jace, you're up." Jason did the same thing that I did. He caught the candle stick with his left hand and set it back down on the window cell.
"So, I talked to the Council," Aunt Jennifer said, "and they said there's nothing they could do." Aunt Jennifer said with a disappointing sigh.
"What do you mean by there's nothing they can do?" Aunt Sarah demanded.
"They said that the isn't in their "plan."" Aunt Jennifer sighed. I never seen Aunt Sarah so angry before. She muttered something angrily in Latin, went to the restroom, and slammed the door shut.
"What do we do now?" I asked.
"We go with Sarah's plan."
"Well....we kind of already went with her plan."
"So that's it, we go with Aunt Sarah's plan?" Jason asked.
"Yes, we have to train you guys first."
"We only know Telekinesis."
"Then we'll teach more, right now let's eat."
After we ate dinner, we got ready for bed. Jason was the first one to fall asleep, then Aunt Jennifer and then Aunt Sarah me on the other hand, I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about what I saw in grandma's room. You can say that emotionally scared me for life. I sat up and looked out the window, like I unusually do back at home in the apartment.
After a few minutes of sitting down and looking around, I decided to get up and go look around the hotel because I didn't yesterday. I quitely got out of bed, stepped over Jason's sleeping body on the floor, opened the door, quitely walked and carefully closed the door. Since it was 5:30am in the morning the hallway was pretty dead.
If I can remember what Aunt Sarah said to me about this hotel, is that this a hotel for anybody of the magically community. Witch, Wizard, Warlock, you name it. But, yeah I continued to walk around the hotel room when, I saw a shadowy figure just like the one I saw back in the apartment.
My mind was telling me No, go back. Run and go get the lady at the front desk. While Aunt Sarah wad telling me about the hotel, she said. "No one that's evil can get in." Well that thing that I saw looks pretty evil to me.
I kept walking and stopped in the middle of the darkly lit lobby. It was like a ghost town. It wasn't full of life like it was last night. I sat down on one of the lobby chairs, when all of the sudden I heard a loud crash and footsteps that madr my heart jump. I quickly got up and asked,
"Who's, there?" Remember when Aunt Jennifer and Sarah said that we don't know how to control our powers yet? Well this would be a perfect time to learn how to control them. I got creeped out so, I went to the direction of our hotel room. I guess I got so scared, when I reached out my hand to open the door nob a small flame about a size of a golf ball appeared and kind melted the nob.
Great so, I was technically locked out of my own room. I can't text Jason to open the door because I left my phone in my room. Hey go figure, right?
I slumped down and sat down on the floor and leaned my back against the door. For the past ten mintues, which felt like hours of me looking at the doors across from my room and down the hall. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the same shadowy figure and I prayed to god that it won't come down this hallway.
"Please don't let it go down, to hall 1 room 2-A." But sadly it did. I started to panic, I have no way of getting into my room, no protection, and no way on how to control my fire powers. Yep I was a goner, might as well have a sign that read: Please kill me, I'm highly venerable. The shadowy figure got closer and I quickly got up and started jiggling at the door nob, which smoke started coming from my hands.
"Come on, come on." I muttered. I looked over and the shadowy figure was getting closer and closer. In any second I was going to start bannging on the door screaming, "Let me in, let me!"
I felt a small tap and I jumped and the door nob officially melted away, great.
"I noticed that you couldn't open your room." Turns out the shadowy figure was a boy and a very cute one I may add. The boy was around Jason's age probably thriteen or fourteen. His hair was a bit darker almost as black as a raven's feathers and his eyes were a shade of gray, with a small amount of green, blue, yellow, and hazel I think. His skin was white as milk and he gave me a soft smile.
"You could've, said hi first." I said with a shaky voice.
He laughed. "I'm sorry, My name's Dallon Russo." Dallon had a small Irish accent when he talked. I wanted to point that out but, that would be rude so, I smiled back and secretly jiggling on the no door nob.
"CJ." I said using my other hand to shake his. Smoke rosed from hand burning his which caused him to quickly let go and waved his hand around.
"Sorry, still a bit freaked out." I blushed.
"I can tell you're new at this, when did you get your powers?" He asked.
"Um....two days ago."
He smiled. "Ah, so you're a first time witch?" He asked.
"You can say that."
"Why are up so early?"
"I can ask you the same thing."
"Couldn't sleep."
"I was hungry." We stood their in silence which seemed like forever until he gave me a lop sided smile.
"Well, if you want to go back into your hotel room you have to say a spell."
"A spell?"
"Yeah, I'll show you."
Dallon walked up to the door and said, "Sign Agris." And the door quietly swang open. I turned around to say thank you but he was gone.
Jason's head popped up with his black hair covering his blue eyes.
"Where were you?" He asked groggily."I went to go get breakfast." I lied.
"Breakfast," He said. "CJ, breakfast doesn't start until seven o'clock."
"Early breakfast."
Jason rolled his eyes. "Well, go back to sleep."
I did what he said, I climbed back into bed carefully not to his hit Aunt Jennifer and Sarah and threw the blankets over my head, but I didn't sleep.
I watched the sun come up and shinging through the closed white curtains. The first one to wake up was Sarah, no surprise there.
"Morning, Sunshine." She smiled.
"Hi."
"So let's gets to practing your defense spells."
