Seeing mom was probably one of the most horrific and wonderful thing that I've ever experience.
"Sit." Mom said warmly. I sat down on the nearest couch. With the wave of mom's hand, a tea set appeared on the table in front of me."What did you, wanted to talk about?" I asked nervously.
Mom smiled. "About the ring."
"You knew about the, ring?" I asked. Of course, she does. Mentally scolded myself.
"What about it?" I asked as I took a sip of the warm sweet tea.
"I don't want to tell your sister about this, at least when she old enough."
I nodded. "The ring can only be controlled by me?" I asked.
"Mmh."
"Why?"
"Because you're the eldest." Mom smiled. She kissed my forehead and studied me for a good solid seconds.
"But dad wasn't the eldest, he was the youngest." I explained.
"That's because your grandfather put a spell on it."
"So the story was true." I muttered.
"Yes." I looked down at the floor with a crestfallen look on my face.
"I must go, remember Jason I'll be watching the both of you."
Mom disappeared and I quickly got up and looked at my sister who was still sleeping. Besides her breathing, I heard her mutter: "Dad."
