If you're reading this, don't go Lincoln Center. Why, you might ask? If you're not a witch then go to one of New York's best Broadway center. But, if you are a  witch, you better find a way to get another state. Okay, let me explain.

~Two hours ago~

"Why did Aunt Sarah and Aunt Jennifer said to stay away from Lincoln Center?" I asked.

"Because it makes our sent stronger to the Shadow Trackers."

Jason stuck his hands in his red hoodie and stopped. Right then, I knew that something was wrong.

"Jace," I said. "What's wrong, are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah but, I thought I heard something."

Okay here's another thing you never do in New York is get lost in the middle of rush hour. I was walking by Jason's side, when someone grab my arm and pulled me to where they were going. I yelled for Jason's name,  I tried to jerk the person's hand away but, the grip was too strong. I got a closer look of the person. The person was a middle aged man with sandy blonde hair, sickly pale skin, and black eyes? I remember what a Shadow Tracker looks like and that was that man was.  I started to panick and I yanked and jerked the man's arm once again. I thought about forming a small flame from my hand but, smoke came out of my arm. Not what I wanted but, this will do.

"Ow!" The Shadow Tracker shouted and let go of my arm. I quickly pushed through the sea of people and yelled out Jason's name.

Behind me, I can hear the shadow tracker yelling, "Stop that witch!"

I wanted to face him, I wanted to use my powers against him. To defined myself.

I bumped into Jason and I quickly grabbed his arm and dragged to the closes places that I thought that was safe enough. We stopped in front of an Italian restaurant. Yes I know a  weird restaurant combination. The outside of the restaurant was a two story building. You know those buildings with a store, restaurant, and bars at the bottom and then a apartment complex on top? Yeah it was one of those buildings. Green potted plants.

"There you are," Jason said.

"Shadow tracker, behind us." I said with every little breathe that I have.

"Where?" Jason asked.

"I literally just said right behind us." As if on queue, the shadow tracker walked passed the rising people and I pushed Jason into a building.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to what building it was but, it was filled with people. Some in uniforms, some wearing normal clothes. The room smiled like pizza, pasta, and other foods. I actually wanted to buy a pizza for me and Jason but, I know we need to hide in here for a while.

After a while sitting inside, we decide that it was safe enough to leave and catch a ride to Massachusetts. I forgot to tell you, the ring is Massachusetts which is where the shadow kings place is.

"Let's just hope, that Aunt Sarah is right." Jason sighed.

"Yeah, I'm with you on this."
