Finally, I would like to tell this chapter. After we left the Russo's house( yes we ate breakfast and got dressed.) For some reason before we left, Lauren handed CJ a vail full of clear liquid. I heard her whisper to her that it was for "emergencies" or something like that. After we left the house, to the woods. The ground was all wet, ane soggy from this morning's rain, and the air smelled like wet moss. We wondered around for a while until Dallon lead us to a big dark palace with black stone walls, broken windows, and a rusted gate. At first I though that this was his twisted idea of a joke but, it wasn't. I can tell by the way he looked at that place with utter fear.
"W-Welcome to Whisper Hollow Woods." He stuttered.
"That's how far I can take you," Dallon said. "Try not to get your selves killed."
"We wont." CJ smiled.
"Still got the vail my sister gave to you?" Dallon asked. CJ went through her satchel and pulled out the vail full of clear liquid. With that, Dallon blended in with the dark murky woods.
"What's the vail for?" I asked.
"Dunno." CJ said as she put the vail back in the satchel.
"This is it, it's now or never."
~Time Skip~
I looked liked at the locked gate, and the lock and chain that held the gates closed brusted open and the chain snaked down to the mud.
You know this little voice in your head yelling Don't do this! and Turn back, now! Yeah that's what I'm hearing every time I
nails dugged into my skin causing my arm to bleed."CJ stop." I hissed.
"Sorry."
I heard foot steps down the hall and me and CJ his behind on of the shelves. I peaked through the crack and saw a group of Shadow Trackers in human form walking down together.
"Did you hear?" One of them asked.
"Tenebris got the ring of Avlor."
"Duh you idiot, he's gonna us it to destroy the magical community and than on those Castro siblings."
"I thought they're died?"
"So did I until Abercio and Abundiantus killed their grandmother."
I dug my nails into the wood as they kept talking about grandma. She died because of them.
The voices faded away as the group of Shadow Trackers left the hallway and CJ and I pushed the shelf out so, that we can get out of our hiding space.
"I'm going to kill them personally." I muttered.
"Some other time, right now we need to find-"
"What?"
"Jason look."
I turned and saw what CJ was looking at. A sliver ring with a red ruby and lots of swirling desings on the band was sitting on a white marble column near two big black marble doors. To me this was an easy grab. There's no way in hell someone would just leave a ring sitting there unattended like that.
"Obviously its a trap." I told CJ.
"You don't think that's the ring, do you?" CJ asked.
"Yes and no."
Like always without thinking, CJ reached out her hand and the ring came flying and landed in the palm in her hand.
"CJ, no!" But it was too late. A group of Shadow Trackers came from the walls and grabbed mine and CJ's arms. Blue flames came from hands and the shadow tracker that was holding me down dissolved into thin air. CJ did the same thing and started punching and kicking through the crowd Of shadow trackers.
"Boys, is that how you treat family?" A voice sooth as silk asked.
"Let them go." The voice said.
"I would like to see my niece's and nephew's faces." The shadow trackers turned us around and a man with a handsome face probably middled aged with black hair dark as the shadows, dark brown eyes could've been mistaken as black, and pale skin. For some reason, the man was wearing a business suite. You know black blazer, white button down, black tie, black slacks, and black dress shoes. Yep that's what he was wearing like he just came back for making a deal with another business or something like that.
"I do believe, you were looking for this?" The man went through his pocket and pulled out the same rig that CJ has in her hands but, more shiny and full of luster.
"Told you that it was fake." I muttered.
"Who are you anyways?" CJ demanded.
"Who am I?" The man repeated. I am Tenebris ruler of shadows, Lord of darkness, first son of Igneous and Asuna and your uncle."
