Note to self: Never let a Shadow Tacker where you are. Why? Because this might happened.

~Two Hours Ago~

After we left New York,  CJ and I decided that we needed to find a place to stay or at least find something to eat. As we walked down 107 Essex Street, something caught my sister's eye.

She kept pulling my arm and she kept saying, "Come on, can we have Italian?" Like she was five years old, and trust me she was way more annoying than she was now.

"But, you hate Italian," I said.

"But its also Irish cuisine." CJ said as her green eyes lit up with excitement.

"I never tried Irish food."

"Fine." I sighed.

Now you're probably thinking, Jason what does this restaurant has to do with the Shadow Trackers? But the thing is...well you see... Hey I don't have to explain myself to you.

Since I was being held hostage by my sister, I had no choice but to eat there. Don't get me wrong, I love Italian food but, I got a bad feeling about that place, well the people that were inside. I was dragged into the restaurant and CJ pushed me down in one of the booths next to the fire exit and CJ sat in front of me.

"Okay C, were in Salem," I said. "How are we going to find the shadow palace?" I asked. Once again I was being ignored. While I was trying to explain our plan, CJ was to busy reading the menu, not caring at all.

"CJ," I said. Before I can finish getting her attention, the waiter came up to our table. He looks no older than I was. The waiter had black hair dark as a raven's feathers, gray eyes, and slightly pale skin. He wore a plain white Polo T-shirt, black slacks and beat up black low cut Chuck Taylors. His golden name tag had Dallon written on it.

"Welcome to the Russo's Italian and Irish Cuisine, I'm Dallon and I'll be your waiter." That's when he stopped and smiled at my sister like they know each other.

"Hey, its you." He smiled.

CJ smiled back at him. "Yep its me."

"The girl that was locked out of her hotel room." Dallon flashed CJ another bright smile.

"So are you ready to order?" Dallon asked as he got a note pad and pencil. I nodded.

"Can I get a Sweet Tea?"

Dallon had a confused look on his face. "Sorry, we only have Earl Grey tea."

"Then I'll take, a Coke."

"What about you, Castro?" He asked.

"I already-"

"Not you," CJ said. "He was talking to me. I'll have a Sprite." Dallon quickly wrote it down and left. I gave CJ a look and she blushed.

"It's kind of a long story."

I wanted to agrue with her but, I found it useless. I finally got her to pay attention on our plan on how to get our dad's ring back. After we explained our plan, Dallon came back with our drinks and sat down next to CJ.

"You shouldn't be doing that."

Dallon shrugged. "Why, my parents doesn't care anyways."

"Your parents work here?" I asked.

Dallon laughed. "They own it," He said. "The restaurant is for anyone in the magical community and mortals as well." Dallon explained.

"So what are you?" I asked.

"Wizard, well my mum's a Warlock but, I'm a wizard side on my dad's side."

"Why were you and your family was in New York?" CJ asked.

"My dad's part of the council."

"Dallon!" A female voice shouted from the kitchen. Dallon sighed.

"Hold on, Pez!" He shouted back.

"That's my sister, want to order your food?" Dallon asked.

"Yeah." CJ smiled.

"Let me guess, Bigoli and Dublin Coddle." With that, Dallon walked into the back and my sister was star struck and I was in awe.

Okay remember when I said something about the Shadow Trackers? Yeah that's when they came in. The people in the room looked nervous, and petrified once a shadowy figure walked through the door like a ghost.

You're probably thinking, a room full of witches, wizards, and warlocks, how come they're not fighting? Well the restaurant wasn't just them, it was also full of mortals. So what did they do? They ran out screaming bloody murder.

Dallon came out of the kitchen, with both of mine and CJ's food in his hands. With a matter of seconds, Dallon set the plates down and dug in to the pants leg of his slacks and pulled out a black stick. A Wand? Probably.

With a flick of his wand a flash of electric blue light came from the tip and shot the Shadow Tracker in his head and the Shadow Tracker dissolved into thin air.

"Perrie, Lauren!"

Dallon shouted. Two girls came out of the kitchen holding a wand as well. The girl with the mahogany brown hair, obviously the oldest probably sixteen or seventeen years old and the girl with black hair like Dallon's that looked around fifteen years old. With the same moiton that Dallon did, a flash of light came out of the tip of their wands and shot every shadow tracker near them.

"Should we help him?" CJ asked.

I nodded.

Like the people from the Matrix movies, CJ and I sprung into action. Flames shot of CJ's hands and started throwing them like they were baseballs. What did I do? I did the same thing but, my fire was blue. Did I know I could do that? To be honest, no I didn't until now.

After a few minutes of fighting, all of the Shadow trackers were gone and I never been so tired in my life before.

The girl with mahogany hair walked up to me and asked.

"Who are you, and why were the Shadow Trackers here?" She demanded.

"Perrie this is CJ and her brother-"

"Jason, my name is Jason." I said.

"And they probably followed us here."

"We're looking for the my father's ring." CJ said. "The Shadow Trackers attacked us at our home, they killed our grandmother and took the ring of Avlaor." CJ explained any better than I could.

"The Ring of Avlaor?" The dark girl asked. "Isn't that Oliver de Lune's ring?"

Perrie nodded. "One of the most powerful wizards? Yep, that's his ring. They say only his children can wear the ring." Perrie explained.

"There's a story about the ring, right Lauren? Mum used to tell us it."

Lauren nodded. "We should talk about this at the house."
