Before I died, I stared at Tenebris with rage and charged over to him with all my might. If I lose my sister, my aunts will kill me. That's only if I live through what I'm going to do.
With the wave of Tenebris' hand, I was sent flying across the room and again well, pretty much for the fifteenth time in a row. I'm still surprise that I'm still alive and kicking.
So who's winning? You might ask, well its...Tenebris there. I never fought an adult before and I'm pretty sure he won't show any mercy just because I'm a kid and his nephew. I was thrown again against a wall and this time I just laided there on my stomach. My eyes looked over towards Dallon guardianing my sister's unconscious body from Shadow Trackers with his wand. My eyes went back to Tenebris. I saw him walking towards me and I slowly got up and fell down on one knee.
"Your father gave me the same look before I killed him." I just laid there and sighed. My head never hurts so much and I never knew what a broken rib felt like until now.
As I laid there, I heard a soothing voice telling me to get up and to keep fighting. At first I thought it was my sister's but, I was mistaking. It was my mother. Keep fighting. Get up. Get up.
"You know," I said as I slowly started getting up. "I might be weak, but there's one thing you don't know about me."
"And what's that."
"I might be a de Luné but, I'm also a Castro!" With a wave of my hand, walls of blue flames formed around Tenebris and the ceiling began to shake.
Tenebris fought back once more but, I overed powered him.
"Say hello to mom and dad for me." With that, the ceiling collapsed on Tenebris and the other side of the ballroom was swallowed up blue flames.
"Jason!" Dallon shouted.
I ran over towards my sister's unconscious body and I saw how her breathing became uneven. I saw a very horrible red burn mark on CJ's arm as the size of a garden snake.
"I thought she'll fight through it, I tried everything I could but-"
I grabbed my sister's hand to check her pulse but, there's nothing there.
"No no no, don't die please don't." I shooked my sister, I kept screaming her name and telling her to wake up but, it was too late. CJ took her final breathe right there in front of me and Dallon.
A see of tears covered my eyes and they started to fall like the rain that happened this morning.
"Jason I'm-" I sat there sobbing knowing that I won't be able to see my sister's smile, to hear her laugh and talk about the most random things that pops into her head.
I sat there for a while thinking how I'm going to tell Aunt Sarah and Aunt Jennifer about CJ. God this was too much for me.
"Jason, Jason look." Dallon shooked my arm snapping me out of my thoughts.
"She's waking up." I watched as I saw my sister's chest started to rise and fall. Color returned to her cheeks and her lips were back to their normal light pink color. CJ quickly shot up and started to look around.
"What happened?" CJ frantically asked.
"You got stuck by lighting."
"Where's Tenebris?"
I looked around the room and saw no sign of Tenebris.
"Gone, I guess."
"Oh." Before CJ can ask another question I tackled her into a crushing bear hug.
"Don't scare me, like that."
"Jace...can't...breathe...need...air." CJ gasped.
"Sorry."
"How did you come back?" Dallon asked.
"What do you mean?" CJ demanded.
"Well you've died."
"And?"
"You came back."
"I don't know why, okay," CJ said. "Can we please go home?" CJ asked.
"Yeah, let's go home."
