I quickly pinned the man lying on my front lawn as the one I had spotted in town. I quickly brung his crimson stained body inside and placed him on the couch, blood now seeping into my furniture. He began coughing as I ran over to shut the door. When I got to the entrance to my home, I looked outside to see what had caused his injuries. I couldn't see much other than distant torch light and constant shouting. The lights seemed to out number me. So, I shut and locked the door hoping that they wouldn't find the house.
I came back into the living room to see Zeera no longer in front of the window. But, next to the man. She had taken an interest? She doesn't do this unless she knows something that I wouldn't normally sense on my own.
I snapped out of may daze and ran to find some bandages. After I found those, I needed something that would numb up the wound. I then, hurried into the kitchen and rummaged through all of the odd things I had brewed up over my years as a witch. I pulled out a fairly small vial of teal liquid, my numbing brew. I then, found thread and a needle. You could guess what those were for.
When I got back, I discovered the man holding his right side. I automatically uncovered that as the location of blood loss. Upon further investigation, a stick-like object was poking between his fingers. Of course, this gentleman had been struck via arrow.
I hate this part. "This part" being the section of the procedure where I yank the arrow out of the wound. After that was done, I applied the numbing potion and stitch it up.
By this part, he had calmed down a bit. No longer moaning, the man replied to my medical care breathlessly with a, "may god bless you for your kindness."
I just glared at him and began to bandage the sealed wound. That's when the doorbell rang again.
