Trance

The young man in front of us smiled. He was, from what I could see, exposing himself. Luckily for us, he was standing behind a rock. He was well built, looked much like Alex, but, better in a way. He smiled and said nothing.
Zeera started hooing and hissing again. This was odd. She only acted this way around danger, or what she detected as danger.
Meanwhile, Alex stared at the man. "m'lady?" He asked him.
M'lady? I thought. We're staring at a man. Oh no! This isn't what I think it is. Is it?
Siren. We were face to face with a siren.
I looked back at the man. He had started humming.
"You have a beautiful voice, m'lady," Alex said. His eyes were wide, most definitely under her trance. He was inching closer to the man. To him, it was most likely a beautiful woman. This siren was coaxing both of us into a trap. And, one of us was falling for it.
          "Alex," I whispered, "back away."
          "Frost, this
Beautiful young lady shouldn't be out here in her own. We should find a town and drop her off."
"I don't have time for this. The siren is dieing and it's dieing now," I said impatiently as I walked up to the siren, dagger in hand.
          "Zeera, blind it!" I shouted.
Zeera responded to this by flying high into the air above the siren. She went so far that all I could see was a speck. She shot back down, talons out and flew into the siren's face. This provided my distraction.
I jabbed a dagger into the siren's side. This made it emit a sharp screech of pain. It sounded metallic.
As it discovered that it's cover was blown, it resumed its normal appearance. Slit white eyes, green scaled skin, a serpent's tail, large needles for teeth, and even sharper claws. It let out another metallic, ear piercing screech.
Alex seemed to not notice. He just stood with a blank expression on his face. Was he really still under its control? I guess it would be better if he wasn't trying to fight it though. He was still hurt. I don't need him hurt more.
The siren clawed at my back as I jabbed the dagger further into its gut. Turquoise blood leaked out of the wound. I kept at it until it bit into my shoulder. I screeched in pain as it attempted to bite harder.
It eventually loosened its grip. As it lost too much blood to continue. Both me and it fell to the ground. Leaving it dead and me hurt.
