I woke up to a sobbing Alex. He was over me screaming....something.
          "Hmmmm..."I rubbed my head.
He just embraced me. The necklace was still there. I could feel its cold metal press up against me when he pushed me into the hug.
"Ale-" I began to say before he cut me off.
"You've been out for three days! Zeera went back to the cottage! She thought that you weren't coming back so... she went home,"Alex slowed down to a mumble. "I thought you were going too..."
"Don't worry, I'm fine see," I smiled and stood up.
"Right," he smiled back through tears.
I finally took the time to look around. I was in a dark room. I caught the faint odor of mold and a strong sent of mildew. The room was dirty, and empty.
"Where are we," I said weakly.
          "We're- uh..." Alex seemed nervous.
          "Uh?"
          "We're in the dungeon."
"What!?" I was snapped out of my weak daze by the word.
"Yeah, I'm going to be returned to the castle tomorrow. You....I wasn't told."
I think I knew what was going to happen. It was either treason, housing a 'criminal', or, you guessed it, being the monstrosity that I was.
I turned to the bars that were keeping us in and walked over to them.
Meanwhile, Alex looked at me in confusion, "Frost?"
I stayed silent and took a large breathe.
"Frost," Alex said it a little louder next time. Again, I ignored him.
I placed my hands on the bars and closed my eyes. I drew in another breath.
1...2...3...
          "Frost."
1...2...3...The bars got colder than they already were.
          "Frost," this time even louder.
1...2...3...The bars were coated with blue.
          "Frost," louder, again.
1...2...3...The bars were covered in s thick coat of ice.
          "Frost," louder.
1...2...3... the bars cracked. I breathed again.
          "Frost!" he was practically screaming
1...2...3...the bars shattered. Alex was left in shock.
          "What just..."
I moved a finger over my mouth to signal his need to be silent, "just a little trick that I picked up."
He didn't question further. "Ok then, let's get out of here."
