I had just finished proof reading my assignment. It was 8pm and I decided to save it about 10 times and closed my computer. I looked at that same coffee cup I was given a couple days ago from the coffee shop boy.
I was feeling a little wild so I just thought I'd call him again. "Agh what the heck," I said to myself.
I anxiously waited again, for someone to answer the phone.
"Hello, It's Tom?" His sweet voice made me melt inside.
"Hey coffee shop boy, would you prefer it if I called you Tom?"
I heard his laugh, that was actually comforting,
"Hello mystery girl, yeah sure, call me Tom."
"Well, how are you?" I ask.
"I'm tired. Been working some crazy shifts lately, speaking of I have to go in at 6am tomorrow."
"Wow, that must tire you out, I'm tired from studying all day."
"Ahh yes. How is that going?"
"Well, I've finished my first assignment. Feeling quite relieved to say the least."
"Well, congrats then!"
"Thanks, look I know it may seem stupid for me to call you after I saw you earlier but..."
"But what, mystery girl?" He says sexily.
"I, I just had this sudden urge to call you I guess."
"Well isn't that cute." He says.
"Oh please. You're cute." I say mockingly.
"Thank you."
"Damn it that wasn't supposed to..."
"Be a compliment? Too late. I already took it as one."
I sigh over the phone. "I'll see you tomorrow coffee shop...b.. I mean. Tom."
"Okay mystery girl. Hey I didn't catch your...."
Oh crap I hung up on him by accident. Damn it.
I called him back a second later.
"Miss me already huh?"
"No? I just wanted to say sorry for hanging up on you, that was an accident."
"No worries, I just wanted to say I didn't catch your name, before you hung up on me."
"Oh, it's Kate."
"Ahhh, Kate. I like it."
"Thanks, well I better go, Coffee... UGH! Tom. I nearly did it again."
"Haha, I'll catch you later, mystery girl."
