I answer my phone. "Hey Tom."
"Hello, mystery girl, what's wrong?"
"What? What do you mean?"
"You don't sound yourself, is everything ok?"
"Everything is fine Tom. Trust me."
"I do trust you. I don't think I believe you, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I've just, had a hard day, that's all."
"What are you doing?"
"My washing. Chores... other things."
"See you soon."
"What?"
"Goodbye, mystery girl."
I heard a knock at the door. My heart skipped a beat. I already knew who it had to be. I walked down the hallway excitement escaping from inside me, I opened the door with a smile on my face. My smile immediately fell when I saw him. The stranger in front of me had an apologetic look on his face. "Dad?" I said, shockingly. "Kate." He said. I stood there in awe.
