"You bore me," a dark voice said making you look up from the book you were reading. You stare at the boy for a few moments before continuing your reading. Earning a sigh from him, he moved to sit next to you. "You know Malfoy," you paused listening for a reaction. He tensed a bit when his last name was mentioned. "You don't have to watch me, I'm just reading." You looked up at him and gave an interested smirk, "Well, (Y/N). I would rather not watch you but the letter from your parents said-" "I know what it said, you won't shut up about what they said. Don't forget they also sent me an owl too." You interrupted him. Both of you sat silently in the slytherin common room, listening to the fire crackling and you turning the pages of your book every so often. After a few chapters of reading you grew tired. "Well Malfoy, I'm going to bed." With that you left the blond boy on the couch and went straight up to your room. When you got to your room you noticed a letter on your bed. It had a big H on the front of it, "Hermione." You whispered excitedly, you haven't heard from here since last year. Making the note more exciting to read. You walked over to your bed and picked up the letter.
"(Y/N),meet me at the astrology tower around 11p.m. Signed H." It read, you knew they were up to no good. Especially with the dementors and an escapee from Azkaban running around, they were definitely up to no good. You got yourself ready and turned out the lights. Hoping to deter Malfoy's prying glances up the stairwell to check on you for the numerous amount of times. Around 10:15 you crept down the stairwell, peering around the corner to find the common room completely empty. You sighed in relief and crept out, whispering the code to get out and making your way to the astrology tower. It was 10:50 when you arrived at the astrology tower. Hermione, Harry, and Ron were all there looking over the tower in search for something. "What are you guys doing?" You asked trying to mock Professor Snape's tone. Ron looked mortified until he realized who it was. "Bloody hell, (Y/N)." You laughed as you peered over the astrology tower, giving yourself goosebumps with the mere thought of the height. "What's the plan?" You whispered, more to yourself as you stared at the far away ground. "Well we were going to Hagrid's." Harry spoke up before leading the group down the stairs. You all followed in suite as you made your way down the trail, to Hagrid's.
Going to Hagrid's was your favorite thing to do, he had Fang which reminded you of your pets back home. Once you guys got there you noticed the new animal displayed in his front yard, if that's what you would call it. You stood amazed at the animal before walking in with the trio, "Hagrid, what is that thing?" Harry asked, "It's a Hippogriff, Harry." You said, looking towards Hagrid for reassurance. "What are you guys doing down here, you're going to get us all in trouble." Hagrid said, making you smirk. "Hagrid, what do you know about Sirius Black?" Hermione asked, shutting the door behind you guys. Hagrid stood there for a moment before going towards his stove. He opened it up and pulled out a pie. "I'm not sure what you're talking about," Hagrid said trying to avoid any eye contact. "That's ridiculous Hagrid, you know exactly what we are talking about." You said without missing a beat. Hagrid looked uneasy at all four of you. After a few moments of silence you spoke up, "This is a bit ridiculous Hagrid." You turned to leave and there was a knock on the door. All four of you scrambled to the other side of Hagrid's house, "Who is it?" Hagrid said, shooing you all towards the back door as he walked to the front door. There was incoherent mumbling from the other side of the door as you all slipped out and Hagrid let the person in. Everyone made a complete sprint back up to the school, not catching a glimpse of who it was.
When you guys finally made it out into the clear, Harry spoke up,"He knew something didn't he?" You shook your head yes, leaning over to catch your breath. "Never invite me if we are going to run." You joked, everyone let out a breathless laugh before slowly walking into the school. "So what could he possibly be hiding?" Hermione asked the group, you shrugged your shoulders, "Maybe he knows how everything happened, if that makes any sense." Ron said, you looked up at him and it dawned on you. Hagrid brought Harry to Hogwarts, of course he knows what happened. "We could ask Dumbledore." You said seriously, everyone laughed like you said a joke. You shrugged your shoulders, "Well I thought it was a good idea, it's not like he cares to give us answers." You said, earning a groan from Ron. "Why can't we ever just hang out without trying to get into trouble?" Ron asked. "Because it's not in the prophecy," you joked, earning a glare from Harry. You laughed and while all four of you continued to walk to the Gryffindor common rooms. "Well, this late night adventure has been fun. Many more to come this year so I'm going to go back to bed before Draco catches me." You said, letting out a soft laugh. "Why is he watching you?" Harry asked, looking mad. "You know my fate, Potter." You tried to mimic Draco, earning another glare from Harry as Hermione and Ron entered the Gryffindor common room. "Fate isn't always set in stone." Harry said moving closer towards you. You smiled at his response, "Well if you're going to need an insider you'll let him continue to watch me. Plus it's orders from my mom and Snape. So I kind of have to behave for the most part. Otherwise we can't have the leverage." You rambled, noticing Harry getting closer and closer. There was a moment of silence before he said anything else. "You're right, and if I'm correct that Voldemort is coming back, we will need you to become what you need to be." You nodded, giving a half smile. "Goodnight, (Y/L)," he said. You started to back away and made a small wave, turning around and making your way to the Slytherin corridors.
As you made it to the common rooms you noticed Draco sitting on the couch reading. "Fuck," you whispered to yourself. "What was that?" Draco asked, not looking up from his book. You quietly slipped inside the common room, trying to quickly avoid him and his interrogations. "(Y/N), I already know you are there." He said sternly, you picked up your pace. Practically running to your room. As soon as you got to your room you quickly shed your clothes and put on your shorts and t-shirt, crawling into bed and went to sleep. Or trying to that is, you could here Draco chuckling as you seen the light dim from the hallway. You didn't quite make it that time, but there's always another night, you thought to yourself. After what felt like forever, you drifted off to sleep.
You looked up at the ill creature, his back was facing you making the dead seem much, much worse. It was dark and grey out, you looked all around you. Everyone was standing in a large circle around you, and the creature. He was speaking, but it was all gibberish to you as you tried to concentrate on your surroundings. Your eyesight faded in and out. You looked around again, noticing everyone wearing a black robe, with masks covering their faces. Even though their identities seemed concealed, you knew who was here. How could you not? The creature turned around facing you, bringing his hands up in triumph. "Dear (Y/N), are you ready?" He gave a devilish laugh and grabbed your wrist.
You woke up, practically jumping out of bed. You felt the bed, it was wet. Did I get so scared and piss myself? You thought, chuckling to yourself. You got out of bed and grabbed your robe, clothes, and stuff for a bath. Once you grabbed everything you headed out into the common room. When you walked out you made eye contact with draco, you made your way out as fast as you could to the showers. You walked a bit faster than normal to the showers, hoping Draco wasn't following like usual. As you rounded the corner, you felt a hand on your shoulder, "(Y/N), what's wrong?" The familiar voice said, you rolled your eyes and turned to face him. "Wow, you look horrible," Draco chuckled, you punched his arm, giving him a glare. "I would appreciate it if you'd leave me alone. I'm not in the mood for you today. Especially after the night I just had." You said, turning to walk away. He grabbed your shoulder again, "What? Being with Potter all night wear you out?" Draco chuckled again raising his eyebrow. You rolled your eyes, giving him another glare. "Firstly, I was not with him all night. For your information, Father, I had a terrible dream about my upcoming future. One you will not be apart of if you keep trailing on my heels like a lost puppy dog. I am sick and tired of your shit. I'm just taking a shower, I do not need you to accompany me!" You said loudly, Draco lifted his eyebrow and scoffed, "Fine then, (Y/L/N)." He turned around and stormed off leaving you in peace.
After you washed yourself and got ready for class, you made your way back to your room. As you walked into the common room you noticed how empty it was. You looked around and Draco was nowhere to be found. You smiled to yourself and got your class supplies.
