I laid there, staring up at the stars as Mikaela stayed close to me in his sleep. It was still kinda hard to believe that he was human. But the real question is: will he be able to turn back to a mermaid? I sighed and closed my eyes. I reopened them and looked down at Mika as he rested his head on my chest. He was just so peaceful while he slept. He breathed softly as his hand rested on my shoulder blade. I smiled and kissed the top of his head, closing my eyes again. I guess I was lucky to have found him while I did. Every moment we've been together, I've been just so happy. He was just perfect in a every way possible.

"Yu?"

I looked down at Mika as he slowly opened his eyes and looked up at me. "Hey." I said quietly. He sat up and rested on his elbow. "Are you ok?" He asked, looking down at me. I nodded my head, yawning. "Just tired I guess." I said, smiling slightly. He smiled as well and kissed my forehead. "Then let's go to bed. If you're that tired." He said. I rolled my eyes and sat up. He stood up carefully as he pulled me with him. He held onto me tightly as we started walking back to the house. Guren and Kimizuki were already asleep so at least we weren't gonna be questioned. We walked upstairs and I sat him down on my bed. "You can lay on my lap if you want" he said, looking at me. I smiled slightly as I laid next to him, resting my head on his thigh. I felt him start to play with my hair as my eyes felt droopy. It was almost as if he was drawing me to sleep. I curled up next to him as he moved his hair softly through my hair. Then I finally fell asleep, him keeping me close to him at all times.

*Time Skip*

I woke up, Mika's arm holding me. "Morning Yu." He said in a soft tone. I tilted my head up to looks at him and smiled. "Hey Mika." I said and leaned up to kiss him. He kissed back, smiling. I leaned back and rested my head back on his thigh, my hands folding on my chest.

"Did you sleep?"

He shook his head. "Wasn't tired. I got my sleep while we were on the beach" he said. I sat up and sat next to him. He looked down at my wrist and grabbed it softly. "Uh, w-what are you doing?" I asked, worried. He lifted up my shirt sleeve. "Yuichiro, what is this?" He asked, pointing to the red marks on my wrist. I quickly pulled my arm back and pulled my sleeve back down. "N-nothing. Just don't worry about it." I said quietly as I stood up. But, he pulled me back down and pulled my sleeve back up. "Yu, these are scares" he said, concerned. His icy eyes locked with mine as I looked away quickly. "Promise not to tell anyone?" I asked, looking at him from the corner of my eye. He nodded and crossed his heart. I sighed and looked down. "I was, bullied when I was younger. A lot actually. It's kind of the reason why I don't have friends and why I'm homeschooled. I was always bullied because of what I looked like, my past, my interests in mermaids. And sometimes, I kinda just lost control of myself." I said, looking at my wrists. He grabbed my hand and rubbed it. "You're not the only one." He said quietly. I looked up at him, his gaze to his legs.

"It's kind of the reason why I didn't talk much when we first met, or when you first noticed me."

His eyes shifted back to mine as I stared at him surprised. "My friends Lacus and Reneè were the only real mermaids that understood me and stuck by me all my life." He said. "Same here! Yoichi was he only one who understood me as well! He knew how much I loved the ocean and mermaids and stayed friends with me. I guess I owe him." I said, smiling. Mika smiled a little as well and rested his head on my shoulder. I held his hand tightly as I heard his soft breathing.

"Yuichiro, you got a minute?" I heard Guren say from the other side of the door. "Yeah, hold on!" I said and stood up. I grabbed a brush and brushed my hair out so I looked like I didn't just wake up. I opened the door and looked up at him. Guess I didn't need to brush my hair because he looked worse then I did. "I want you to take him shopping for clothes. Kimizuki and I are making a room for him" he said quietly. "You don't have to do that, he can stay in my room."
