~Marlin~

Oh, uh... heya. It's me, Marlin.

...

It's been awhile since I last got ahold of this ol' thing, huh? What's it been? 7 months? Wow. That's uh... over half a year.

...

Uh... I dunno if you future people care or not 'bout my life, but I figure since Dr. G's more or less given up writing in this thing (the last entry was a month ago? Really?), that I may as well tell ya some stuff 'bout me.

Um... Yeah. Ahem.

I got back in January this year. With Gaster in his coma, the other guys needed a mechanic to keep the lab from fallin' apart. Since I fit that description, Katrina and Davis decided to end my probation.

Did Sans already tell 'ya that? Yeah? Welp, I guess I thought you needed a refresher.

While I was gone, I went back to my family. It was a little embarrassing, ya' know. Goin' back on probation. But they handled it alright. I went back ta' fixing the machines on the farm, and hung out with my cousins in the big city on the weekends. I got to see my little cousin when I visited the capital—he's nine now, and he's the cutest thing I ever did see. Really likes acting too, that one. Who knows? Maybe he'll become a star one day.

Ahh, but enough 'bout that. I was really happy when Katrina came to get me. The farm is just so boring, ya' know? A guy can only fix an automatic reaper a few dozen times before it gets repetitive. Here at the lab, I do all kinds of stuff, and I get ta push the laws of physics on stuff like the T5.

But she... Katrina, I mean, of course... she seemed really sad when she came to get me. She hardly talked to me at all, just told me that the guys needed me back.

...

It was awkward.

It's still awkward.

Even though I've been back for half a year, she still seems to tip-toe around me. I don't get it. I just made one mistake. Just one. Yeah, it was bad. Yeah, Sans ended up getting hurt. But does she haveta keep giving me the cold shoulder?! I... I thought she liked—

Whatever.

It doesn't matter.

I don't need her—the others are enough. The other guys are treating me like they used to. I'm not allowed to do pranks anymore, but no one's give me the sad-eyes like little-miss-yellow. Sans plays with me like he used to, and he likes ta' ask me 'bout how stuff works.

Davis still likes ta' mess with me, but he did that before, so I don't mind. It's alright ta' have a friendly argument every once in a blue moon, right? Bickerin's not gonna hurt no one.

Carl is just as strange as ever. The nerd's nice ta' me, but we never really clicked anyway.

Even Dr. G's back to normal. Once he woke up, he thanked me for keepin' the lab up and running. Me. G actually thanked me, even though I messed up real bad last year. I was so surprised... Flattered, but surprised.

...

And a little ashamed, too.

What was I thinking, doin' something that dangerous?! I was an idiot, and it cost Sans one of his eyesockets, and I don't deserve to be here, and so why does G want me around—
