The situation with my assistants hasn't improved. I continue to try and refine their methods, but progress is... well, nonexistent. They continue to mess up even the simplest tasks, and they seem hell-bent on ignoring my advice. Make no mistake, they are very nice monsters, and I have nothing against them... but I can't go on like this. I need qualified help desperately, and yet there is none forthcoming. (I suppose there aren't many monsters out there with a PhD.)

I've taken the issue up with Asgore, but I have the suspicion that any help he can give me isn't going to be useful in the slightest. I don't know where he finds these "aides" that he keeps sending me, but they most certainly have no scientific background. And while I will admit that having them here makes the lab a little less lonely... they are an unnecessary drain on taxpayers' gold.

I'm currently expending extra magic to try and make up for the lack of hands, but it's a tenuous solution at best. No matter how many magic hands I have, I only have one brain. And while my magic-enhancing experiments seem to be working smoothly, I'm not a boss monster—I'm not tireless. I've slept more these last few days than my weak attempts of progress should allow.

With everything that Asgore has requested of me, it's imperative that I find a more permanent solution, and soon. Work on the core is already suffering, and my experiments with determination have been completely put on hold. I'm afraid that at this rate, the lab itself may have to shut down.
