Who can resist temptation? Not me, that's for sure. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Chapter 1

I didn't say a single word to my parents as I helped unpack the moving van. I was still a bit mad at them for this sudden change in my life, and for what? Because they were going through a mid-life crisis and think raising five other teenagers, aside from their only daughter, would be fun?

I didn't think I would have been as mad if they gave me, I don't know, at least a month's notice about it. They told me a week before they wanted to move to this new city, to a bigger house, that they want to foster some teenagers.

I was expected to leave my childhood home, the house and city I grew up in, for five people I didn't know at all.

"Juliet," Mom said as I grabbed a box labelled for my bedroom. "You can't still be mad at us."

"And why not?" I asked. "You're expecting me to share my parents with five people I don't know."

Mom sighed. "Juliet, stop thinking selfishly over this. They all need a home and besides, it's only until they turn eighteen. They'll all be arriving today before dinner. So please, be nice to them when they get here."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure thing," I muttered under my breath while heading into the house, then to my new room. On the bright side, my room now was bigger than the one at my old house and I was able to pick the room I wanted.

On the not so bright side, I already knew it wasn't going to be easy living with five other teenagers, especially when there were only two bathrooms, not including the one connected to my parents' bedroom.

The box I was carrying to my room was the last one of my belongings so once I was in my room, I dropped it on the floor and closed the door so I could avoid my parents while rearranging my new room.

It wasn't going to take too long to unpack everything since Mom and Dad already came down here all throughout last week to set up the furniture. Today was the day we were officially moved in, therefore having to bring all the other items.

Well, it did take me a while to unpack everything since I kept moving things around until I was content with how it looked. By the time I finished, it was around five o'clock and I was certain everyone else was going to be here.

I was surprised my parents didn't force me to go down the stairs to introduce myself to the others. I would rather not anyway. They were going to live their lives, and I was going to live mine.

From all the rearranging, I was still feeling a bit dehydrated even though I was drinking out of my water bottle while I was doing so. It didn't help that I finished the water in there, so I had no choice but to go downstairs to fill it up.

I honestly debated it, but I knew I was going to have do go down there eventually, so I grabbed my water bottle and started heading down the stairs.

The kitchen was connected to the dining room with a half-wall separating the two, minus a spacing to walk through, so from where I walked into the kitchen, I was able to spot all five of my new roommates sitting at the table while my parents talked to them.

However, they all must have heard me because all five heads turned towards me; two girls, three boys. Both of the girls looked quite friendly, as did two of the boys although one of the two boys looked quite shy.

The last boy, however, just glanced at me and chuckled, which only caused me to glare at him.

Mom and Dad noticed me. "Everyone, this is our daughter, Juliet," Mom said. "Juliet, this is Abby, Avery, Theo, Marshal, and Campbell."
