With The Mafia

Chapter Three

"Cut the crap cos you won't get away with this" Oscar spat at him
"I don't like repeating myself Ontario, she saved my sister, do you think I'll kidnap her daughter in exchange, you're an agent and you should know better"
"Then how did you get here?"
"The same way those other people got here"
"It's Fabian " Ruby said as both men turned to look at her " Fabian was the one that took me"
Alvarez fisted his hand "that bastard, I should have gotten rid of him long time ago"
"And who the hell is Fabian?" Oscar asked looking confused
"Fabian Jimenez, does that ring a bell to you?" Alvarez said
"But why did they take the child instead of your sister?"
"I can't say for sure, but they run an organization that traffics children, am not supposed to be helping you out on your job you know.
"Damn it" Oscar brought out his phone to dial a number but the number was off
"Alvarez please get the child back" Ruby spoke breaking the silence.
"What?, I don't interfere in others business"
"She saved me alvs"
"Anyone could have done it"
"I have never asked you for anything in my life, this is my first, I beg you help her"
"Fine I can't do much, but I'll try and once we get back don't interact with me like this"
Nodding "thank you, is she coming with us?"
"He should answer that" Alvarez said pointing to Oscar
"Hell no" Oscar snapped at him
"Do you think I want her over?, get a life man"
"She won't be safe here, except you take her with you, Fabian might come back for her" Ruby added
"He can't take her over, he's an undercover agent and his identity has being seen" Alvarez said taking a seat next to Oscar.
"Alvs, do you know him?" Ruby asked her brother
"Why would I?" Alvarez replied her
"She's, asleep and would not want to come even if she's awake" Oscar said ignoring Alvarez last statement.
"Then good for us we take her like that"
"Kidnap you mean?" Oscar corrected
"With your permission"
"Please let her come with us, no one will harm her"
Oscar thought about it for some minutes he knew if Rufina was awake she would never agree to it but she was asleep, he had given her some sleeping pills to help calm her down. There was really nothing he could do, his job was dangerous enough and he didn't want to put her life on the line by taking her along with him. He knew Alvarez was a cold blooded Mafia boss but like he said earlier he never involved women and children in his dealings except some that we're unlucky. Having no other option he agreed to let Rufina go with them. "Fine you can take her, under the conditions that I'll be able to see her anytime and no harm must happen to her, agreed?"
"I see no reason not to" Alvarez answered him.
Rufina woke up to find herself in a large bedroom on a might kings sized bed, she looked up to see her reflection on the ceiling tiles, surely money was speaking, she managed to seat up but felt a little pain before she was greeted by someone she thought or who was actually the maid.
"You're awake I'll inform him right away?"
"Wait " Rufina called her back as she was about to go. "Why am I here?, what happened?, why am I feeling this pain?" It was then the whole event started playing back in her head, she quickly stood up but missed a step and fell "Vel, Vel, Velvet" she yelled
The nurse went over to her "please take it easy"
"Velvet, velvet, velvet ". Rufina shouted the more ignoring the maid "h-how did I get here?, Oscar, Oscar " Rufina cried out in tears as the door flew open while Alvarez entered followed by Ruby.
"Velvet, velvet, vel......
"Will you shut it?, you're being a nuisance here" Alvarez said with coldness in his voice
Rufina ignored him and continue crying, Alvarez was pissed off and Ruby knew what that meant so she quickly went to Rufina. "Your daughter will be back I promise you "
Rufina ignored her but just continued sobbing without saying a word while Ruby pulled her into a tight embrace, she was too weak to pull away so she just stayed like that crying.
Alvarez felt part of his heart melt when he saw her cry but he knew it was wrong, he was a Mafia and Mafians were always cold blooded, he couldn't allow people to see that part of him so he stormed out angrily.
Rufina was in tears all through the day and the weeks after, she hardly ate her meals and talked to no one. Alvarez was getting tired of having to see her cry all day so he stopped going to check on her but Ruby was always with her through out. Oscar was out of town he had issues he had to attend to but he saw her before he left.
A month later
"Alvarez, haven't you tracked the kid yet?, her health is deteriorating and she won't even listen to me" Ruby said feeling sorry for Rufina
"What do you expect me to do?, go arrest him?,he has to fall into our trap and he knows she's here already, he's waiting for us to attack for him to strike "
"Then attack"
"And lose the girl" Alvarez asked
"Then go talk to her mother at least, try to comfort her, she's in this cos of me"
"You are not the reason, that child's father is a Mafian"
"Who's a Mafian?" Rufina's soft voice broke their conversation as both of them turned to look at her
"And how the hell did she get out of the room Ruby?" Alvarez shouted at Ruby
"I left Mary with her" ruby said as she walked over to Rufina and held her.
Rufina turned to face Ruby "who's a Mafia? And how does he know my daughter's father?" Rufina asked Ruby
"He's a friend" Ruby replied her
"You are lying, why is everyone lying to me, am locked in here not knowing where my daughter is and you all are lying to me again" Rufina said bursting out into tears.
Ruby felt sorry for her though she was a Mafian also, she could do nothing cos women was not to speak when the men were talking, the only thing was that their empire respected women unlike the others who abused their women.
"Ruby take her back to the room" Alvarez ordered
"But she......
"I mean now "
Ruby reluctantly took Rufina who was crying out of the room to her room.
"Am sorry you're in this cos of me but I promise to get her back, please believe me" Ruby said as he helped her sit down on the bed"
"Why did it have to be her, why didn't they take me, why? " Rufina said crying.
Just then Mary walks in with her dinner "ma'am Mr Delgado sent these for you "
"Am not eating " Rufina said not looking at her
"Rufina, you have to eat" Ruby added softly
"Am not, my daughter is suffering somewhere, she might be starving and you expect me to sit here and eat " Rufina said wiping her tears "am going to find her myself "
"With the way you are now?" A cold voice spoke
