Chapter Thirty - Three

"She's asleep now" the doctor said
"Thank you doctor I'll walk you out" Alvarez said walking him out
"Isn't it sweet, I mean look at the way he's looking at her" Anna said giggling while Luciana just smiled
"I can't believe the same play boy is now in love" Luciana said smiling
"He doesn't deserve her and he deserves to rot in jail" Ruby said with bitterness
"Ruby" Luciana and Anna said in unison
"You guys are quick to forget that he's a murderer" Ruby said angrily
"Ruby everyone has murdered someone one way or the other, either physically or by your words or actions" Anna said slowly. Ruby knew she was right but she could never forgive him cos he killed Rufina and he always maltreated his mother along with leornado
"Why did Alvarez allow him stay?" Ruby said still angry
"They are brothers remember?" Luciana said going to seat with Anna
"Step brothers" Ruby corrected
"No, same mother" Anna corrected while Ruby raised a brow
"Ruby there are lot of things that you don't know and it's better that way" Anna said slowly
"How the hell is it better that I'm always the last to find out about what is happening in my family" Ruby said angrily "i was sold"
"To my husband" Anna added "listen Ruby, i was sold also and so was Lucia but that doesn't mean" Anna said trying to calm her
"Hell it does, that bastard almost raped me" Ruby shouted
"Then what the hell do you wanna do?, change your identity" Anna said flaring up "i was left to die, did you go through that?, did you lie down in the hospital bed for months not able to move your body parts?, did you experience the pain of loosing a child, did you?" Anna shouted a her with tears falling from her eyes
"It's okay Anna" Luciana said trying to calm her down while she just left angrily and went to her room
"You're worse than him" Luciana said before going after Anna.
"What did you do Ruby?" Alvarez said as soon as he got back in
"I'm sorry" Ruby said bursting into tears
"It's okay Ruby, everything will be fine" Alvarez said petting her back
"I feel guilty, each time I see that child" Ruby said crying
"Either way she would had still be in danger, she's Francesco sister" Alvarez said while Ruby raised her brow
"The details are still shady but we're sure she's still alive" Alvarez said going to seat while Ruby followed him
"Then why isn't she showing up" Ruby said sitting besides him
"She's been held somewhere and I think it's only Oscar that can know where" Alvarez said. Just the mention of his name made her blush, she tried to cover it up but Alvarez noticed it
"Did something happen between you guys?" Alvarez asks raising a brow
"No, nothing happened" Ruby said avoiding his gaze
"Ruby"
"I'm not lying Alvarez" Ruby said looking at him
"Fine but make sure nothing does happen" Alvarez said standing up
"Why not?, i uhmn mean that what is wrong with him" Ruby said trying to cover up
"He's too old for you and you know the other reason" Alvarez said going up
"I hate you" Ruby called after him
"Same here" Alvarez said not looking back.

"We should go shopping for him" Leila said playing with Nathan.
"Sure" Rufina said smiling at her son who was smiling at her. She couldn't believe how time flies Nathan would be clocking one in few weeks time, he was everything a mother can imagine, his laugh, his smile and his lovely set of milk teeth, what if she had gotten rid of him then would she be able to forgive herself, she thought fighting the tears that threatened to fall, if only, if only velvet was here then her joy would be complete but what could she do velvet was gone so she had to move on but not before getting back at the Delgado's, the family that stole her happiness and joy. Seeing all of them together broke her heart, how could Alvarez and Ruby be close with Aldo again.
"Rufina" Leila said slightly pushing her
"I'm sorry" Rufina said wiping the tears from her eyes, she didn't know her hands was clenched until Leila released it
"Rufina, its not too late to back out" Leila said slowly
"I'm not backing out Leila"
"You're gonna be a murderer just like them" Leila said slowly
"I really don't care"
"You don't care about him, about Nathan?,what if, just what if velvety is alive" Leila said making Rufina raise her brow
"Wh-what do you mean?" Rufina asks
"She meant that our daughter is alive" Diego said coming into view
