With The Mafia

Chapter Eighteen

"You have to go Aldo, you have no choice here"
"But most of the men are injured, if we use them like this I doubt they'll be able to survive"
"And what do you care, you're the boss now or are you backing down like your brother?"
"Of course not, the Mafia is divided and attacking the Mendez will bring about more division?"
"He has that damn document don't you get it?, I could go to jail, is that what you want?" Leornado shouted at him
"No, but.....
"No buts, you'll lead the men and make sure to get the documents back, understood?"
"Understood" Aldo said angrily before leaving.
It was now things was starting to get clearer for him, he regretted misunderstanding Alvarez from the beginning, and he was right Leonardo was only using him for his selfish needs. Most of his men had ran away while some had died due to unnecessary confrontations with other Mafia. He regretted doing all those things he did but he couldn't go back now he just had to leave with it.
"Are you going to go kill another innocent man and his family again" Amalia asked him as soon as he entered his room
"Why don't you ever mind your business?" He snapped at her
"Don't you get it?, he's using you for his selfish gain"
"Shut the hell up and leave my room now, you have no right to talk to me like that,  you're just a servant here"
"Don't go or else you'll regret it"
Aldo left where he was staying and went to where she was staying and slapped her hard making her fall on her knees.
"Do you see why you shouldn't involve yourself in my business now?, this is a warning, I won't spare you next time ,do you get me?"
Amalia didn't reply him, she just stayed there sobbing
"Are you going to leave or should I throw you out?"
She didn't say anything which made Aldo irritated, he got to her and pulled her up before pushing her out of his room.
A week later
"How many men are you taking with you?"Leonardo asked Aldo
"Fifty"
"Are they going to be enough?"
"They should be, the house is not that big"
"Good, whatever the case maybe make sure you get back that document"
"Noted"
"You can be on your way now"
Aldo left the room to go join his men in the training room.
"Is everyone complete" he said with authority
"Yes boss" they all chorused
"Good, we'll be on our way now, everyone to their post"
"Yes boss" they chorused once again. They packed all what  they needed before they entered their cars to go. The drive was quite a long one and the house was in the outskirt of the town. By the time they got there it was around four, Aldo got down first followed by Marcus his assistant before the rest. The three guards at the front were taken down by Aldo's men, as soon as they got in they started to shoot, most of the domestic staffs went into hiding while few of the guards fought with them but they couldn't really do anything cos they were not much in number. Aldo made his way up to where he knew the documents would be, he searched the room but there was nothing, he was about to leave when a maid came in he shot her immediately but as he turned to leave again he felt a cold metal object on his neck.
"Looking for these?" The voice said as she showed him the documents he was looking for
"Who the  hell are you? He said angrily
"Am someone you don't want to mess with"
"I think you're mistaken here, you're the one messing with the wrong one"
"Shut the hell up before I blow your brains out" the voice snapped at him as she came forward to face him
"I don't usually do this but I'll give you this chance, leave before it's too late"
Aldo felt the voice sounded familiar but he couldn't recall where, he had gone out with  hundreds of girls so he couldn't place her voice and she was on black from head to toe, her hair was on pony tied with a black scarf, he wondered who she was, only her eyes was showing and he couldn't tell the colour it was cos the room was a bit dark.
"I don't receive orders and more so from a female"
Aldo tried to yank the papers away from her but she was fast, she used her right leg to give him a kick and he was on the floor, Aldo quickly got up and rushed towards her but she dodged him and he fell on the table, he saw the old wooden lamp stand on the table and threw it at her, she was about to dodge but wasn't fast enough as the lamp stand hit her upper arm with it's sharp edges which made her moan in pain, Aldo seized the opportunity to launch at her again but she somersaulted ignoring the pain in her hand and kicked him hard which made him also yell in pain just then the door opens and two men rushed towards her
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, take and leave" she said giving one of the men the documents
"He quickly takes the document and was about to leave when Aldo launched towards him, the other guy quickly pulled the trigger of his gun and shot him twice on his back.
"No" the lady said as he was shot
"We have to leave now" the other guy that pulled the trigger said as   the one with the document went out
"He's gonna die"
"And so are we, if we don't get out of here now"
"Please, attend to him"
"No, let's go" he said pulling her hand. She removed her hand slowly "I can't leave him like this, go I'll be with you guys"
"Are you sure"
"Positive"
The guy nodded before leaving while the lady went over to him and took off her scarf to reduce the bleeding, she placed the scarf on his wound and was pressing it for him when she heard footsteps, she quickly rushed to stand but Aldo held her hand. "Who are you? he said slowly
"Am sorry" was all she said before running to the window to jump down just in time as the door opens.
