"I saw him Lee, i saw the bastard that shot at me and velvet" Rufina said amidst tears "he saw me also"

"You mean Aldo?" Leila asked

"Yes, he knows I'm here now and he'll come after me and Nathan" Rufina said still sobbing

"No one is gonna come after you or natty, you're both safe here okay?" Leila said trying to comfort her. Just then Nathan crawls in

"Momma" he said smiling at her while Rufina picked him up. Those words melted her heart, his smiles, how hair, his eyes all reminded her or him. He didn't smile often but whenever he did made her heart melt just like her son and that was the biggest mistake of her life, stepping into the Delgado's family

"Rufina" Leila said breaking into her thoughts "i know it's hard for you but Aldo isn't who he used to be, he's a changed man now"

"Does a Mafia change, he can deceive the whole world with his acts but not me" Rufina said "everyone can forgive him and move on but I can never forgive him for what he did to me and velvet, it's over two years Lee, two good years" Rufina said raising her voice causing Nathan to get scared

"He's manipulating you Ruffy, he's my brother I know what he's capable of doing" Leila said

"He might be manipulating me but Aldo will surely pay for his crimes" Rufina said giving Nathan over to Leila

"If something happens, what do you think would happen to your children?" Leila asked causing her to stiffen. she hadn't really thought about it, if she got caught she would go to jail, so who would look after her children, she couldn't think of letting her children go through what she went through.

"Leila I've thought about it over and over and there's no going back, Aldo and the entire Delgado's would pay for what they did to me and my velvet and that's final so can we stop talking about it already? " Rufina said

"Sure, whatever you say, can i go out with natty, promised to take him out?" Leila asked

"Sure, bye sweety" Rufina said giving her son a Peck. Things was really hard for her, even if she wanted to stop she couldn't cos Diego won't permit her and there was no where she could run to that he wouldn't locate her, Nathan was all she have now until she gets velvet back and she knew she had to do what he says to get back velvet.

"Here are the pictures boss" a guy says handing over some pictures to his boss "should we make any move now?"

"No, not yet, we still have to study them all, we can't afford any mistake" the boss said

"This is his sister Velvety" he said showing his boss her pictures

"She looks just like her mother while the boy looks like his father, make sure you keep an eye on both the kids okay?" The boss instructed

"Yes boss". The guy said

"I'll be on my way now, whatever information you get send it to the hideout and about Leonardo" the boss said

"He's on the run but we have our men tracking him" the guy said

"Good, we'll meet next week and don't forget to keep a low profile". The boss said

"Sure" the guy said

"Okay guys spill the good news" Anna said smiling

"Ta-da, we're engaged" Amalia said showing off her ring

"Wow, congrats guys, the play boy finally got hooked" Anna said hugging Aldo

"Thanks sweety" Aldo said hugging her back

"Congrats guys" luciana congratulated Amalia then Aldo

"Thanks Lucia" Amalia said smiling

"So when are you guts tying the knots?" Luciana said eyeing Aldo

"It's still too early Luciana, we still have to enjoy our engagement" Aldo said smiling at her. Who would believe the same ruthless and brutal Aldo would change and fall in love, although the traces of a Mafia was still in him but he wasn't as bad as he used to be.

"Congrats" Ruby said before walking out on them. Although she had forgiven him, it was still hard for her to forget what he did to her and get mother and especially what he did to Rufina, how could velvet be so happy around him she thought to herself after what he did to her.

"Ruby" she heard him call her name but she didn't respond "Ruby" he called again

"What do you want?" She yelled at him

"Open the door please?" Aldo pleaded while Ruby reluctantly open the door for him.

"Can I come in please?" Aldo asked

"You're in already" Ruby said rudely going over to her bed

"Is there anything I can do to make you change your mind about me?" Aldo calmly asked

"Nothing, absolutely nothing cos you're nothing but a wolf in sheep's clothing, you're a monster Aldo" Ruby spat at him hoping for the worse but to her surprise he didn't hit her like he would had done cos it was his custom to hit women just like Leornado.
"Won't you hit me like you always do?, won't you curse?, won't you lock me up?,won't yo....

"Ruby" Aldo said cutting her off

"Don't call my name Aldo you killed her, you shot her and her child, you separated a mother from her daughter, how could you?, you treated me and my mom like a piece of trash, you didn't care about my feelings, all you cared about was power, you never stood up for me whenever Leonardo abused me instead you made it worse for me, you made my life a living hell, did you care?, no, and now you want me to welcome or accept you with open arms" Ruby said with tears

"I'm sorry Ruby, I'm sorry I was never there for you, I'm sorry I made you cry, I'm sorry for adding to your pain, I know you hate me but I'm sorry" Aldo said

"Can sorry change the past?, can it make up for everything you've done?" Ruby yelled at him

"Why not get rid of me then, why not kill me and free your mind from the torture and pain you have there, for crying out loud Ruby, I said I'm sorry, why not give me damn time to prove myself and make up for the past" Aldo also yelled while Ruby continued sobbing
"Just give me a chance Ruby, give me a chance to be the big brother I was not in time past, give me a chance to right my wrongs" Aldo said going over to her bed side

"I hate you Aldo, I really do hate you" Ruby said crying while Aldo drew her into a tight hug
"I'm sorry Ruby, I'm really sorry"
