Chapter Twenty-Nine

"I sent him away" Aldo said sitting on the bed where she was
Amalia just looked at him before turning away
"I'm sorry" he said slowly
Amalia stood up still ignoring him and went to the bathroom before coming back few minutes later with a first aid kit, she pulled an empty chair opposite him and sat down, placing the kit down, she opened it and brought out the cotton wool and spirit and started cleaning the blood that were dried on his face. None of them spoke, Aldo just stared at her while she avoided his gaze, after she was she was done she returned the kit and have him the ice pack she brought out to put on his head before it gets swollen.
"Thanks" Aldo said collecting the pack from her
Amelia didn't say anything, she just want back to the bed to sit.
"Why not say something, I said I'm sorry, what else do you want me to do?" Aldo asked getting frustrated by her silence
Amalia turned to look at him "what do you expect me to do?,jump over you or what?, you shot me Aldo, you f*cking shot me" Amalia yelled at him
"And I'm sorry, I truly am" Aldo said with all sincerity
"The papers was sent to you earlier but the duplicate was missing, i don't know who exactly is behind it" Amalia finally said
"Who do you suspect?"
"Leornado, my dad and Alvarez"
"Alvarez?, do you know where exactly he is?"
"Even if I did, I'll not t tell"
"Common Amalia, I'm not gonna hurt them"
"I sent those papers to you cos i trust you and I hope you do what's best with it"
"I'm not gonna let you down" Aldo said before leaving the room.

"This just doesn't make sense Anna" Alvarez told Anna
Secrets were being revealed everyday, first Rufina was alive but missing, next the death of Tiara and Fiona and now this, he was getting really frustrated.
"My sources are always confirmed Alvarez, they are siblings, apparently she was kept in an orphanage but got picked up by the Walter's but they died or so it looks like cos only the man's body was found his wife's body wasn't found" Anna explained
"Don't you think that was planned" Luciana said
"Yea, I think so, she somehow managed to get to the Mendoza's" Anna said
"Only Oscar can know the link" Alvarez said
"He's out and no one knows his location" Luciana said
"Ruby might"Anna said
"Ruby" Alvarez and Luciana said in unison
"Yes, don't tell me you didn't notice when he brought them back"
"What did you notice Anna?" Alvarez said raising a brow
"Well it sure looks like something happened between them" Anna said smiling
"It's not funny Anna and I'll kill that bastard" Alvarez said angrily
"Hey, it's not a big deal" Anna said
"His family will never permit and so ours, so it's a big no" Alvarez said sternly
"when is Francesco coming back?" Luciana asked
Both Alvarez and Anna turned to face her "I uhm I I mean when will you guys tell him" Luciana stammered feeling embarrassed
"He'll be back before the end of the week" Alvarez said before leaving the room leaving Luciana with Anna. "He's still angry with me right?" Luciana said
"Lucy darling, I'm not an intermediary between you guys, go to him, he's your husband and you guys were friends before you got married, demand an answer from him and tell him you love France" Anna said
"As if it's that easy" Luciana said to herself but Anna heard her.
"Nothing is easy in this world, you have to fight for what you want, this is reality not some fairly tale" Anna said calmly
"Why did you disappear and what about your child?" Luciana said changing the topic
"Smart girl" Anna said smiling "I didn't disappear, they wanted to get rid of me but Alvarez was my angel"
"Angel" Luciana chuckled
"Don't tell me you're jealous?" Anna said eyeing her
"Hell no, I'm just wondering" Luciana said
"Sure darling, you can wonder" Anna said
"We're age mates, stop being too elderly" Luciana said jokingly
"I'm some years older Lucy" Anna said smiling
"I just wish everything would go back to normal" Luciana said sadly
"It's gonna get better Lucy, we just need time"
"I guess so, I have stuffs to do now, we'll talk later" Luciana said standing up
"Sure I also have issues to take care, make sure you talk to him, I'll take Velvet with me" Anna said
"Sure thanks" Luciana said before going up
