Please don't kill me!!!!!! I have an explanation and news!!!!! I'm soooo sorry I did not update. Last Saturday my brother came home and I was exploding with excitement and didn't update. Then last Wednesday, I was having a lot of fun and hanging out with my brother, that I forgot to update, then Thursday I had gotten into a fight, and that day I lost my phone. I tried using my tablet, but it was dead and my charger was broken. Then I tried using my parents computer, but they said no. ._. parents... So I couldn't update Saturday. And then I found it Sunday. Lucky me right? And then Wednesday my parent took away my phone for no reason. They said I was on it to much. Like I didn't have a phone for the past week because I lost it! But now I'm here with another update, so no need to kill me right? Yes? Hopefully? OK, here is the chapter.

Loretta's POV
I was happy that she agreed to take us, but she looked like she was going to murder someone. Which she could do with no problem with that gun of hers. Yes she did have a gun she's a police officer for Peaches sake! She looked even more fliped off that the guy kicked Peaches than me. She showed us to her police car and we got in. I've never been in a police car before, so it was kind of exciting.
Peaches was now whimpering in pain and Lauren picked up the pace a little. The rest of the car ride was a little awkward. We finally got to the vet and I quickly but carefully grabbed Peaches and raced into the emergency room. JJ, Lisa, and surprisingly Lauren trailed behind. I rang the bell on the counter and a young woman that looked in her early 20's, ran up to the counter. She was slim and had blond hair in a high ponytail, blue eyes, and glasses that fit her well. She was wearing blue pant's and a jacket like thing that doctors wear during surgery.
"Hello, I'm Doctor Faith, how can I help you?" The woman said. By then JJ, Lisa, and Lauren had walked inside. Lauren walked up to the counter.
"Hello, I'm Officer Lauren, and there dog had hit her side on something and is in pain and her side I swelling." Lauren had said very convincingly.
"I see. Come, bring her here." Dr. Faith said waving her hand for me to follow. Another vet had come in from outside and went behind the counter.
"Thanks for taking my spot Dr. Faith" The vet said. She nodded in return. I followed her down a hallway. The hallway had plain white walls, and oak doors. She led me to room 12 and walked inside.
"Here, put her on the table." I did what I was told and put Peaches on the table. When I took a step back, she started to wine.
"I think you should keep a hand on her while I check her out." Dr. Faith said. I took a step closer to Peaches and put my hand on her head and she stopped whimpering. Dr. Faith carefully and gently made Peaches lay on her side.
She started to gently feel across her rib cage and frowned. Peaches started whimpering and I started to rub her head.
"I can't tell if it is fractured or if it is just bruised through the swelling. Let's give her an X-ray just to make sure." I nodded in agreement. Dr. Faith picked Peaches up and walked out the door and to what I guessing the X-ray room.
I followed her to the room and she handed me this big heavy blue thing and told me to pit it on.
"Its to protect you from the rays." She explained. I nodded my head in understatement. She put Peaches on the X-ray table and put one on herself.
"Can you help me keep her still during the X-ray?" She asked.
"Sure." I said walking over to the padded table were Peaches was standing on. I gently picked her up and put her on her side. She wined in protest, but I just kissed her head and that calmed her down. Dr. Faith walked over to a high teck computer looking thing and pressed a couple of buttons.
There was a couple of quick bright flashes and Peaches started freaking out. But I quickly calmed her down.
"Okay, I have the results see here" She said pointing to a screen and I walked over.
"She has....."
Lisa's POV
I just sat there quietly thinking about the events of today while waiting for them to come out and see if Peaches was okay. 20 minutes later they finally came out. Loretta holding Peaches protectively in her arms. Even though Loretta was way stronger than the average man by over 10 times it looked like she was having a struggle carrying Peaches' fat but.
"She's okay!" Loretta said.
"She only has a bruised rib. Nothing serious Dr. Faith said that she should heal in about a week." She continued.
"That's great!" JJ said getting up from his seat in the waiting room and thanked Dr. Faith. We had all said thank you to her over and over again and she had said your welcome each time.
After that we all went to the police car and got in. JJ told her to go to our neighborhood and drop us off and told her that we live close to were you enter. JJ took off toward's our house with Peaches, while I walked Lisa home. We walked in silence and I looked at the scenery.
A couple of minutes latter we arrived at Lisa's house. I knocked on the door and her mom opened the door and....
Screamed.........
