My reflection in the beaten tray, was not one I recognized. I  looked the same, but with the ears of my wolf, I could also see, and feel her K-Nines in my mouth. I looked down at my hands, and instead of finger nails, I found myself looking at claws. I shifted in my place, looking behind me, and my wolf's tail was at the end of my spine, where my tailbone would have been. And then in an instant, they vanished, and I felt a sharp pain in my chest, like something was missing.

'Spirit? Are you there?' No reply.

'Spirit answer me!' I yelled throughout our connection, panic starting to fill within me. I heard a small whimpering in the far corners of my mind.

'Spirit! What's wrong!?!?' I asked, concerned.

It...its JJ...something is wrong...I...I can't contact, or even feel Jasper! Spirit said anxiously, pacing back and forth in the shadows of my mind, whimpering here and there.

'They are probably just sleeping or something,' I said trying to comfort her, and myself.

You and I both know that they would not be sleeping in a situation like this, with us gone. She said bluntly, clearly seeing through my reassuring words. I gulped and sighed, knowing that she was true. Concern for my brother started eating away at my train of thought.

'What's wrong? Did something happen? Did he get hurt? Did he...die...' A lump formed in my throat, the fear of him being gone suffocating me. I shook my head, ridding of the thought, and of the fear engulfing me.

'We need to get out of this place,' I told Spirit, a hint of desperation in my voice.

Agreed, Spirit said with no hesitation. I stood up, angrily kicking the tray aside. Just as I did so, a pair of quick, heavy footsteps thumped through the hall, in the direction of my cell, lighter ones following it. But these ones were definitely of someone elses, I could hear Chase one or two steps ahead of the other person. The footsteps stopped in front of the iron door, a certain scent filling my nostrils, making my blood boil. The sound of keys rattling made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, the urge to jump at the person behind that door growing ever so larger and larger. The small fogged window opened to reveal Chase, with a slight worrisome expression on his face.

"Lor...Loretta, someone is here to see you." Chase said, knowing that the outcome would not be good. A low growl started to rise in my throat as Chase moved aside to let him dare show his face to me.

"Well, well, look who we have here," He said annoyingly, making me want to kill him even more than I already wanted to. I growled, my eyes fading into a bright, vibrant green, the darker colors of my green eyes escaping to the outline of my iris, forming the resemblance of my wolf's eyes. That person was none other than the trator himself, Benny.

"Hmm...? No comments? I thought you would be snapping out insults by now." He said with a stupid smile on his face, looking down at me like I was a lesser being.

"Don't you even dare look at me like that you weak little..." I spat, swearing out very rude things.

"Ah! So the beast speaks!" He exclaimed with a mischievous glint in his eye. I glared back at him even stronger, wishing he would just die in the jaws of my wolf.

"It's Loretta, thank you very much," I snapped sarcastically. Not in an actual thankful way, more of a command for him to call me by my name.

"It looks like she can still contact her wolf, and it seems as though the silver is not bothering her..." I heard him whisper into an earpiece.
