Peaches's POV
I was so sore and every time I moved it felt like I was getting hit by a car. I could feel my side start to swell slowly and painfully.
"We have to take her to the vet, now!" Loretta said to her friend.
"I'm going to call the cops. Give me your phone." Her friend said. Loretta unzipped her sweatpants pocket and took out her phone.
"Here Lisa." She said handing over her phone and gently petting me on the head. So her name was Lisa. Lisa started talking on the phone and Loretta shifted and went to JJ. I'm guessing they figured out the mind link because I'd didn't hear any barking.
Your probably wondering why a dog like me would know about the mind link. Well I'll tell you why. Any animal of a species can talk to each other through a mind link. Say a dear smells a mountain lion and it mind links everyone in its herd as quickly as possible and runs off.
I talked through the mind link to the dog next door a couple of times. And sometimes a werewolf can do it with an animal that is related to a dog or wolf. I might try the mind link with Loretta one of these days.Loretta and JJ came back and shifted.
"We tied him up so he couldn't get away." JJ said to Lisa.
"And I made sure his gun was well far away." Loretta continued. I soon heard sirens coming this way and tried to get up but failed miserably and painfully. I whimpered out in pain and JJ quickly, but carefully picked me up.
The police got hear and started investigating. JJ handed me over to Loretta and told them what mostly happened and showed them to the man. I didn't know what happed next because I was in Loretta's arms and could not follow, oh and plus, a stupid guy decided to kick me really hard in the side. Not once, but twice. Yes, twice. Imagine someone about five times your size kicking you in the side twice really, really hard. It hurts.
We just stood there with a female cop that was really pritty and looked determined, but friendly. She had slick dark brown hair, that could almost past as black, and light brown skin, and eyes that looked allmost black.
"Hello, I'm Officer Lauren, but you can just call me Lauren." The officer said very nicely and friendly.
"Hi, I'm Loretta, and this is Lisa." She responded shaking her hand.
"So, your the girl that called, Lisa right?" Lauren said.
"Yep, that's me." Lisa said popping the P. A little time passed with some chatting here and there. A few minutes later JJ came back.
"We need to get to the vet as soon as possible." Loretta said, her voice sounding reluctant.
"And I was wondering if we could get a ride." She continued.
"Well of course! But, why do you need to go to the vet?" Lauren asked.
"Because that man kicked her." JJ said. She had a mad look on her face.
"Yea, let's go right now."
