Chapter 18: Loretta

I just sat there shocked at what had came out of my mothers mouth. I had never known my dad, and I don't know much about him ether. All I know is that after I was born he had just mysteriously disappeared. No name, no description, no nothing.

"Yes, your father was a werewolf. His name is Jason, you JJ were named after him. He had to leave or else, you would be in danger." She said, her eyes filled with sadness.

"How would we be in danger?" JJ asked curiosity bubbling out of his mouth. She sighed and continued ignoring his question.

"There is a prophecy, of a werewolf, human hybrid, that is said to be the bravest, strongest wolf, to be the savior, of the Midnight pack. The Moon Rise packs enemy, which is the pack that your father belongs to, is trying to find that hybrid and get rid of them." Those last words echoed in my brain. I knew perfectly clear what 'get rid of' was applying to. In a shaking voice she continued.

"You two must be careful. You must protect each other, no matter the cost." She glanced at my wrist for a split millisecond. But continued on.

"One of you will be the wolf in the prophecy, be safe. I love you both. You may ask questions now." After she said that we bombarded her with questions, like how our dad looked like, how he acted, if this prophecy was true, and a bunch of other things to.

When I walked out of her room I saw JJ whisper something in our moms ear, but I couldn't quite hear what he had said.

That night, I couldn't sleep. Those words kept on replaying in my mind. 'get rid of'. I tryed everything. I counted wolves, day dreamed, even thinking of songs, but those words kept on butting in. I finally fell asleep at around 1:00 into a well earned dreamless sleep.
