That kiss was definitely one I had to work for. She brings a side out of me that I never thought I would feel again. Alive. I just want to protect her with every online of my being. The music was loud I couldn't hear my own thoughts about the most beautiful girl in the world.

As I'm walking I feel chills go up spine, something's not right. I can tell when something is up, I've had to be able to my whole life. Be able to pick up when someone was on or off their game, that's why I'm so perceptive on what is going on around me.

I look around looking for the group, but mostly Paige. I start to panic, I can't lose her not again. I find the others Amy, Mel, Ben, and Ethan. My voice sounded frazzled, "have you seen her? PAIGE!" I yell. They are drunk they can't help, Gabe walks up to me, he was a little intoxicated but not bad. "Have you seen Paige?!" My eyes looked wild, Gabe realizes how serious this is, but tries to calm me down anyways, "Dude, she's fine she's probably in the bathroom or something" Gabes yells to Amy and Mel to check the bathrooms for her they didn't stutter they were checking in seconds.

I can't stay put and wait on the girls. I start walking towards the front door. Maybe she stepped outside, needed some air. Maybe that kiss wasn't as good for her as it was for me. Because for me it was a breath of fresh air after holding your breath under water for too long.

I notice two people walking towards the door, the girl practically unconscious. I could see her radiant brown hair falling behind, she can't even keep her head up. It's Paige. My heart is in my stomach, I'm running like a mad man through crowds of people. "MOVE!" I yell as I'm plowing through the crowds, "HEY!" It was Alec who turned around, I swear to god I will beat the shit out of him.

Alec looks at me clearly not remembering me from earlier, "Hey man don't worry I'll get her home she's my friend, she had one too many." My face shifted to become compatible with the rage that just took over my body, but all I cared about was getting Paige out safe, she wasn't even holding herself up. So I had to keep my anger in check and help her.

"Paige? It's going to be okay, I promise." Her eyes were rolling to the back of her head. She was trying to open them but couldn't, then she went completely limp. I was holding her, I have to get her out of here. That's when I heard a yell, "HEY ASS HOLE YOU KNOW WHO THAT WAS?" It was Gabe talking to Alec, he made eye contact with me and Paige, his face was contorted and his eyes went wild, "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU PUT IN HER DRINK?!" I've never seen him so angry. Alec didn't say anything Gabe hit him hard, "IM GONNA ASK AGAIN WHAT THE HELL DID MY FRIEND HAVE IN HER DRINK?!" This time two punches pounded his face, "relax man its just a roofie" he said with a sly smile. I nodded my head towards Gabe and he went absolutely berserk on Alec. Amy and Mel came up to me and took Paige, I hated letting her go. Alec had two buddies at the club who started to jump at Gabe. I had to step in, I took one HARD swing at Alec, all my rage wrapped up in one hit. He dropped to the ground. Gabe was being pounced on by the two other guys right then Mel had dug her heal deep into one of the guys foot he yelled out in pain, she nodded my way. I punched him to the ground, he dropped and Gabe was able to fend off the other one of Alec's friends. I grabbed Gabe and walked behind Mel. Then I ended up taking Paige from Amy and Ethan Ben showed up with a death grin around Mels waist, as worked up as I was when Paige stepped into the fight at Gabes party. We got the hell out of there before anyone could stop us.

Me and Paige road back in my truck everyone else road with Gabe. I didn't want any of them there overwhelming her when she woke up, everyone understood, except Gabe gave me a stern look. I gave one back, I know he has feelings for her, but he doesn't know what she does to me, she makes me want to live in the hellish world, just because she is apart of it. Gabe backed down, still pissed and work up.

Paige was unconscious in the back seat laying down. What am I going to say when she wakes up? She is going to freak out. Lucky or unlucky for me, she didn't wake up. We had made it to my house, I couldn't take her home like this, so I texted Josh off her phone saying she was sleeping at Amy's so he didn't worry. I took her up to my room, and laid her in my bed. I went down stairs to get a cup of coffee, when I came back she still wasn't awake. I laid down next to her listening to her every breath. Alec claimed it was only one roofie, but I'm beginning to think, in order for it to hit her that hard and fast it could've been more. My heart is starting to pick up speed. I'm then beginning to regret not taking her to the hospital. What if something is actually wrong with her? I will never forgive myself.

It's now 5 am. I start to pace back and fourth in my room. My fingers running through my hair. What do I do what do I do? When FINALLY I here her sigh, she rolls over a little bit. I wish I could know what is going on in that head of hers. She always looks so far off, like she's with us, but she isn't exactly there. She rolls over a little bit clearly still loopy from the drugs. I didn't want to startle her, but I didn't want her to panic either. She's never been in my room before, she might think it's Alec's room. I lean over to where she is lying she looks at me so confused, her hazel eyes tearing up.

I wrap her into my Arms holding her tight, "Shhhh you're okay..." she pushed me off, "what am I doing here? What happened? Why does my head hurt so bad? Why can't I remember anything from tonight?" She was in a panic state of mind, her breathing picked up. I began to start worrying even more, her heavy breathing turned into wheezing. I looked at her hurt, I could literally feel her pain, she was so lost. "Paige it's me James, you're okay some guy drugged you at the bar," her eyes went wide she started to cry, "oh god.. no no no.. nothing happ-" I cut her off, " God no. We wouldn't let that happen." I just wanted to make her feel better. She tried to get up, but her body made her fall right back down. "Relax you're still a little groggy from the medicine. I texted your brother he knows you're not coming home. You can sleep in here I'll sleep in the living room." She shook her head, she looked like she had just had her dignity ripped out from inside her. She had tears falling, but she was trying to make her face look hard.

When Dan did what he did to her, she still put up a hard front, she looked strong, but now I can see she's breaking. I just want to help hold the pieces in place, but I need her to talk to me first. "What's wrong?" She was holding my sleeve not letting me walk away. She said to me her voice so soft she was practically whispering, "please just lay with me? I don't want to be alone.."

my heart started to beat out of my chest as I climbed up to where she was slowly not wanting to startle her. I pulled her back into my stomach, I fell into sync with her breathing. Her head laid on my arm, and her fingers were intertwined with mine across her stomach. I look at her finally relaxing and catching her breath before she fell asleep. I inspected her face and her beauty, the Lord definitely took his time making her, because she is stunning, I begin to start feeling guilty. I told her to trust us and here she is once again damaged and a little more broken than before.

I try to relax, breathing in her wonderful smell, deciding that she is now my favorite view, favorite smell, favorite taste from our passionate kiss. I was filled with new favorites in all categories. With that I decided to stay awake and beg the sun to not wake and ruin our moment. As the sun peaked through the window I let myself go and fall into a peaceful sleep.
