Chapter Twenty Seven

**Riley’s POV**

Rocco and Ezra are so excited for the beach today. I love them so much. I must admit I cannot wait until the boys are old enough to learn to surf. It’s also nice to be around Devon too, we are just friends though.

I packed a picnic and got the boys and myself ready. We headed down to the beach and met Devon.

“Hi Devon”

“Hi Riley”

“And who are these cuties?”

“Devon, this is Rocco and Ezra” I paused pointing at each of the boys “Boys this is Devon, say hi”

“Hi Devon” Rocco said

“Hi” Ezra said shyly

“Hi Rocco. Hi Ezra”

“Ok, do you boys want to swim or build sandcastles?”

“Swim Mummy” Rocco half shouted

“Swim” Ezra said

“Ok lets go. Lets put everything down and head into the water” Devon said

“Yay!” Rocco and Ezra excitedly said in unison

We headed out into the water for a while then built sandcastles until it was time to have the picnic. We sat and had lunch. The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the day with the boys. I was watching Devon with Rocco and Ezra; I felt a sadness wash over me. I realised that I was sad because I was watching Rocco and Ezra and I shouldn’t be; I should be watching them with their father, they should be with Daniel. Its not fair to raise them like this, without a father. I know what it is like to be raised by a single mother; though my mum had all her family to help her. If I wanted that I could. I know I made this situation but its hard. I really don’t want to hurt anyone.
