Chapter Four
**Riley’s POV**
The next few days, as much as I tried to keep my bruises concealed, I couldn’t hide the sadness I felt and I defiantly couldn’t stop the rumours and the gossip. It felt like everyone knew what had happened especially because Ben wrote a facebook status all about how he was proud of what he did.
The facebook status said: ‘I’m so glad I’m single. You got what you deserved Riley, I just wish I’d hit you earlier, oh wait and harder. Maybe it would have made you get on your knees. Don’t think its that easy to get rid of me. Cops don’t scare me.’
In reality, there were few people that really knew the truth and what really happened. Although, many people supported me without even knowing the full story. Mum told the rest of the family the truth and I told Daniel, James and my best friend Lucy. Between Mum, Beau, Luke, Jai, James, Daniel, Lucy and the rest of the family, I was never left alone just in case Ben decided to see me again.
