Chapter Three

**Riley’s POV**

The police station was a blur, I gave a statement going over everything. I cried a lot, I felt so sick reliving every detail. I knew my brothers were waiting outside, I was scared of what they thought of me and what they would do if they saw Ben but they were also trying to protect me by bringing me to the police to give a statement and get a restraining order.

After I gave my statement and they issued a temporary restraining order against Ben. I walked out to see my brothers and my mum waiting for me; Jai was the first to notice and he hugged me before mum did. I sat with Beau, Luke and Jai while Mum and the police officer talked.

The drive home was silent. I could see Beau’s hands clenched tightly around the steering wheel; his knuckles were turning white. Once we got home, we all talked, Mum was shocked but she also understood why I didn’t tell her. The rest of the day, we did nothing but watch movies including Step-Brothers, The Fighter and Titanic. We decided, around seven o’clock to order pizza for dinner and get it delivered.

There was a knock at the door, thinking it was the pizza, I got up to get it. I opened the door. I froze when I saw Ben at the door.

 “Hey babe” he slurred; he was drunk as usual.

“Stay away from me, Ben. We are over”, I replied.

Immediately Beau jumped up and made his way over to the door positioning himself in front of me and told Ben to “stay away”; he closed the door and hugged me making sure I was okay.

The rest of the night, after finally getting the pizza, we continued watching movies. I began to get sleepy and rested my head on Jai’s shoulder. I slowly feel asleep and eventually felt myself being carried and placed in my bed.
