"Daddy stop it!" Alex whined as she stacked another cardboard box in front of the green doors of the substation.
"But Alex you can't move out!" Jerry Russo back in response. "You'll be alone. We'll be all alone!"
"Mom." The middle child called out as her dad wrapped her into a bear hug. "Tell your husband I'll be fine. Plus you still have Max."
"Yeah. I really doubt that." Justin, the eldest Russo sibling, scoffed as he came down the spiral staircase two boxes in his arms.
"Shut up Justin." Alex muttered as she tried wiggling out of her dad's bear-grip hug. "I'll be fine. I'm twenty-four after all. At least I'm not the next Professor Crumbs."
"Hey!" Justin exasperated. "It is an honor to be head master of Wiz Tech. Plus I'm only twenty-seven."
Justin stacked his two boxes on top of all my others.
"I don't know Mija," Theresa walked through the wooden chase doors, untying her apron and chucking it at the sandwich counter. "There's a lot of trouble down in Central City."
"Like what?" Alex scoffed sitting on one of the multi-colored bar stools.
"The Particle Accelerator ring any bell?" Justin leaned against the counter beside her.
"The Particle what-a-whooie?" She responded reaching behind the counter, grabbing a fry from it's container.
"She's going to die in that town." Justin shouted as flailed his arms around, simultaneously pushing himself off the counter.
Alex rolled my eyes at her brother. "It's a city you dummy."
"Alex," Her dad paused as he took a seat next to the family wizard. "There was an explosion nine months ago. The Particle Accelerator was made to supply Central City with clean energy and further advancements in science and medicine. Something went wrong and it exploded. Ever since then crime has been up in the city."
Alex mindlessly nodded as her dad talked, she tried to comprehend what her dad was trying to tell her but none of it made sense. Typical for Alex Russo.
"Went in one ear, went out the other?" Justin spoke up, a judgmental -but not surprised- look plastered on his face.
"Ding, ding, ding!" She snorted as she popped another fry into her mouth.
"So what if there's crime?" Alex shrugged. "I lived in a supernatural apartment, I had a werewolf boyfriend, and I am the Family Wizard."
"You got a point missy," Mom came to her side, and draped an arm around her shoulders. "But we just want you to be safe, mija."
"I know mom, but Central City is so interesting, and I feel like it wi-" Alex was interrupted in the middle of her sentence by Justin.
"You found it online didn't you."
"Maybe." She dragged out the ending.
"Unbelievable." Justin huffed.
"Why don't you stay in your apartment with Harper?" Dad suggested, once again trying to change his daughter's mind.
"No. Zeke and Harper are engaged and they're getting too lovey-dovey." She grimaced. " Plus Central City will show me how to be independent. I won't be five minutes away from the substation."
With a sigh Jerry finally cracked. "Are you sure this is what you want Alex? I mean we already live in New York. Can't get any more independent than this."
"Positive." The only female sibling of the Russo family stood up and wrapped her arms around my dad, embracing him in a hug.
"Alright. If this is what you want."
"What even!" Justin exclaimed, ruining the moment. "You guys barely let me move into Wiz Tech when I was first offered the job. Watch, Alex is going to come home in a month. Aren't we worried that she might expose wizards in Central City?"
"Oh stop being a worry wart." Alex rolled her eyes at her older brother.
"Alex,Alex,Alex!" The youngest Russo's voice raced through the restaurant as he ran through the crash doors.
"Look what I found!" Max held up a key.
"No way! The WIPS portal key?" Alex snatched the shaped metal from his hand.
"Yeah! I thought you could use it to pack. You're welcome." Max's voice was laced with a cocky tone.
"Don't get to ahead of yourself Speed Racer." Alex flattened her smile and raised an eyebrow at her younger brother.
"Look dad, she's using magic to pack up her stuff." Justin took Alex's previous seat, in front of the sandwich counter.
"Actually, I'm using magic to get my boxes downstairs." She sassed back.
Alex angled the key in the air and tried to remember the spell that my dad taught her years ago.
"Mailus Spontaneous, Alex Russo's room." Alex turned the key, opening the portal.
"Max, go upstairs and put boxes through portal. Yeah?" Alex commanded Max.
The Wizard Instant Parcel Service was a way to get objects from one place to another, very quuickly
"This is so sweet!" Max raced up the spiral stairs.
"Can you believe he's 20?" Alex laughed at his childish demeanor.
"I bet you one month before she exposes wizardry." Justin spoke up once again.
"Shut up Justin."

I JUST STARTED A KNEW BOOK WOOT WOOT! I know this was a weird beginning but it was the prologue in remembrance of Wizards of Waverly Place, aka MY CHILDHOOD.
But I thought that it would be hilarious to place Alex in Central City. I posted my disclaimer on my last chapter, but once again I will post it right here.
|disclaimer|
I own neither Barry Allen, Alex Russo, or any characters that appear in this book, nor do I own the plot.
I only own Alex Russo's original plot in this book and plot lines that are added into this book.
