Yellowpaw curled up in her make shift nest under a briar bush, her stomach grumbled, and there was always a cold draft sweeping through the branches of the briar like it didn't even stand strong in the dirt. It had been a half-moon since she last saw her sister, prey was growing in number as newleaf was close, but the snow and rain never seemed to stop falling from the grey skies. Yellowpaw rolled over getting somewhat comfy in her dirt nest and drifted off into an exhausted slumber.

Cats' sharing tongues sat in a circle gossiping, Yellowpaw instantly remembered her surroundings, it was her home, Cliffclan. Eagleheart was standing tall over Sheepfur as they were in a deep conversation, Yellowpaw remembered this day so vividly a deep purr rumbled in her chest as she swivelled around to see her sister chatting to Lizardpaw as they shared a plump mouse. It hadn't come toher thought that Fallingpaw and Lizardpaw were close, she then looked around to see Foxstripe signal to her. This wasn't what she remembered happening; this was a few sunrises after they became full-fledged Apprentices, apprehensively Yellowpaw made her way to Foxstripe.

"Where in Starclan have you been?" Snapped Foxstripe as she flicked her tail to signal to follow her into her den.

"What do you mean? I've been training with Riverstone" Yellowpaw slowly backed away scared. "This isn't what happened before!" Rushed through Yellowpaw's head as she looked around no one noticed that she was with Foxstripe in the Medicine Den.

"No you disappeared, why did you leave? Stop playing innocent; you two have hurt a lot of cats. Do you know how many Starclan cat's I've tried asking what happened, and now I've finally been able to find you in Starclan where are you?"

Yellowpaw's eyes widened in shock as she looked around "This is Starclan? Not a dream!" Exclaimed Yellowpaw as she looked around. "I'm sorry we left."

"Sorry catches no prey" Coldly stated Foxstripe. "Why did you two leave?"

"We want to find Smokebreeze and Timberkit" replied Yellowpaw as she looked down at her paws. "We didn't want to become warriors without them."

"Sounds like something you two would do" Foxstripe let out a deep sigh and shook out her fur letting it lay flat on her shoulders. "Are you two at least safe?"

"I am, as for Fallingpaw she is with her new best friends Spaghetti and Meatball" Snorted Yellowpaw.

"Spaghetti and Meatball, what weird names! So you two aren't together then." Foxstripe stopped talking and began to pace around her den. "Please give this up and come home. Eagleheart and Sheepfur are really worried, and so are the rest of the clan. We can't loose any more cats."

"What do you mean loose other cats?" Curiosity filled Yellowpaw's stomach, and her heart lurched.

"All the other apprentices went out one night and haven't returned since. It's hard enough loosing two but three more on top ofthat is just, just Fox-hearted." Foxstripe started to disappear from Yellowpaw's dream and then she bolted awake abruptly.

Yellowpaw carefully put one paw in front of another breathing heavily she smelt the tantalising smell of a vole, in a heartbeat, she bolted for a nearby holly bush and straight through it leaping down on the vole killing it messily. Yellowpaw crouched down besideits warm body and began to eat, her stomach began to settle down and stopped growling. Yellowpaw approached a nearby stream and started lapping up the cold water,

"What a strange dream, I didn't know Foxstripe could contact cats through Starclan" Muttered Yellowpaw between laps of water. Suddenly a chilling breeze howled through the trees sending Yellowpaw a shiver down her spine, she stopped drinking water and tasted theair, it was about to rain. Yellowpaw scooped up her remaining vole and raced to her nest hoping to get some protection from the cold rain.

The rain pelted down on the window followed by loud crashes of thunder and cracks of lightning. Fallingpaw laid down by the window staring out of it into the darkness, the dark clouds hid the sun just like how the sea did it back at camp, Fallingpaw's heart longed to know that Yellowpaw was safe and sound out there in the unknown.

"Soba, the humans are looking for you" Spaghetti padded up to Fallingpaw up on the window ledge. "You know, when I was just a wee kitten, I was separated from my Family. At the time I was very confused, I was out of my element. And when I thought things couldn't get worse I met Meatball; She had been here for longer than I had been at the time."

Fallingpaw started to space out with Spaghetti chatting on and on about when he was younger until he said something that seemed to wakeup Fallingpaw from her trance. "What did you say?"

"I know what it feels to loose family." RestatedSpaghetti as he followed Fallingpaw's gaze to outside. For a moment there Fallingpaw began to believe that there was something else the tom was hiding in his empty gaze.

"I don't think we have lost each other Spaghetti, I think right now we just follow different paths, and that's okay. I know some day, some day soon Yellowpaw will come back. I know she heard me say 'Wait till newleaf'. Until then, our paths are separate, but that doesn't mean that they won't eventually join back into one."Mewed Fallingpaw as she leapt down from the window ledge and to the where the humans were calling out her name.
