Yellowpaw began to leave her nest hunger wasn't much of an issue anymore, and the cold was slowly drifting away Newleaf was sure on its way, and Yellowpaw was apprehensive. It had been roughly a couple of moons since she had last seen cliffclan and all of her clanmates, it had been a half-moonsince she last saw Fallingpaw. Yellowpaw was still guilty, she should have stayed with her sister and not of left here there with Meat balland Spaghetti. Yellowpaw twitched her whiskers dismissively and stalked into the depths of the forest as she walked deeper into the forest she started to notice that the trail started getting smoother more well walked and there was a strong scent of a cat, She began to turn around, and then a loud growl interrupted her.

"What are you doing here?" Avoice scowled at Yellowpaw.

Yellowpaw timidly turned around to face the cat only to be too scared to face the cat, so she just looked ather paws.

"Get off our territory Kittypet, next time you won't be taken so lightly. I'll rip your pelt off next time." The cat hissed, Yellowpaw quickly looked up.

"That's if there is a next time!"Meowed Yellowpaw as she marched up the trail she followed. "what a stupid territorial cat! How was I supposed to know that was their territory they had no markers" Yellowpaw continued to stomp back to her makeshift nest and laid down wrapping her tail over her stomach. "I should have said that!" Thought Yellowpaw frustratedly, she closed her eyes and started to drift into a deep sleep.

Yellowpaw awoke to the strong refreshing smell of wet soil and rain, the water pelted down heavily as gusts of wind whisked it into Yellowpaw's den, instantly she got to her paws and shook out her soaked pelt and jumped out of the briar bush. There was no point staying there if her pelt was going to get just as soaked as outside it. Yellowpaw narrowed her eyes as shes tepped out of the bush, the rain was pelting down so hard a dense mist enveloped the ground around her. Yellowpaw struggled against the harsh wind that howled and the rain, she could just see the faint outline of a nearby giant elm that swayed under the wind and rain itwas about several fox-lengths. Yellowpaw began to race to the elm for protection instantly she is sent into a flailing swirl of mist, her paws waved around in the swirling mist as Yellowpaw tumbled through hidden roots and leaves until a massive thump she landed head first into the elm's old thick trunk. She sluggishly rose to her paws and unsheathed her claws and started scoring the soft, dry dirt making it into a somewhat decent nest, Yellowpaw then sat down in her nest and waited, she felt so lonely waiting for the rain to stop, her stomach growled with hunger. "Just as well Fallingpaw is safe and warm in with Meatball and Spaghetti, she has always had poor health, But she would also miss not going out in the rain" Yellowpaw let out a sorrowful sigh and leant against the elm tree's trunk.

After half the day the rain started to clear up, the clouds were blown away, and Yellowpaw could just see the last rays of the sun as it dipped down below the trees and shrubs. There was a subtle smell of mouse that wafted into Yellowpaw's nose, slowly she tracked down the smell and found a small skinny brown mouse foraging around the dirt for food. Without a second change Yellowpaw clumsily lands on top of the mouse killing it, Yellowpaw carefully picked up the morsel and walked back to the elm tree. Yellowpaw placed it on the ground and started to eat the mouse in hurried bites after she finished she cleaned her whiskers and her messy, muddy pelt from the recent tumble of roots. After afew futile tugs she got the last of the burrs out of her fur and mud, slowly Yellowpaw slid into her nest and started to think of what to do.

"Should I go back and get Fallingpaw... I should, she seemed so worried. I will go back and get her!" Yellowpaw rose to her paws and started walking away from the elm, she didn't realise how far she had walked until it was Moonhigh, this forest seemed like it went for moons long. Eventually, Yellowpaw's legs buckled under exhaustion, slowly she scrabbled up to her paws and got comfortable on a soggy piece of moss under a trees' excavated roots. Yellowpaw closed her eyes trying to get relaxed inthe nest ready for her exhaustion to take her into a deep sleep.

Yellowpaw awoke to her paws the sun was almost setting, she had slept for too long. Yellowpaw was so used to having Fallingpaw wake her up early in the morning. Eventually, Yellowpaw rose to her paws and started to walk back down to the human's den.

Newleaf was lusher than ever, and Yellowpaw had made it in time to go find what her sister's choice was, Yellowpaw padded up to the door only to be intervened by a familiar voice. "Hey Buttercup! What brings you back here?"Meowed Spaghetti as he bounded down from a tree that was poised niceand straight to the sky.

"Is my sister inside?"Questioned Yellowpaw as she sniffed the air for her sister's familiar scent.

"No, she left a few weeks after you did. Meatball helped her escape from the house, she didn't want to stay here with us" Spaghetti seemed a little bit upset about it.

"Don't tell me she was out in the middle of that massive storm!" Yellowpaw's mew was filled with panic "She could be frozen somewhere! What way did she leave?"

"The way you came from apparently, surprised you didn't see her" Stated Spaghetti

Yellowpaw gave Spaghetti a farewell wave and then raced across the monster's path being careful that none were passing by, Yellowpaw crossed it swiftly and then bounded into the forest that she had just left from a few heartbeats ago.
