Fallingpaw padded through the dense bushes and damp grass tasting the air every few heartbeats, all trace of Yellowpaw was erased by the passing storm, Fallingpaw let out a hackling cough and kept walking through the forest. She then stopped to taste the air there was still the strong scent of rain, but there was also another familiar smell, mouse and fresh. Fallingpaw paused to try and remember all her hunting training from Rabbitsong, slowly Fallingpaw shifted her paws, so they were light on the grass as stealthily as possible she stalks through a briar bush the mouse is scrabbling around the dirt looking for something, hesitantly Fallingpaw swiped it from behind startling the mouse. Instantly Fallingpaw unsheathed her claws and batted at the mouse killing it slowly "Thank you for this meal, Starclan" mewed Fallingpaw as she took a bite from the juicy mouse's morsel. Fallingpaw covered the mouse remain in dirt, slowly she turned around noticing something out of the corner if her eye in the briar bush, Fallingpaw moved closer towards it, upon closer inspection it was a small patch of Yellowpaw's fur. The scent was gone, but Fallingpaw blossomed with hope "I'm on the right track!"

Fallingpaw padded through the forest keeping her eyes as open as possible to other markers of Yellowpaw, everything Fallingpaw did up until now seemed futile she was lost and separated from Yellowpaw, what made her feel worse is that she no longer felt safe in the forest. Carefully Fallingpaw hooked her claws into an oak tree scaling up its twisted trunk and onto a thick old branch. Fallingpaw looked down at all the dense shrubs, the trees, the patches of grass and the small puddles of water. She parted her jaws tasting the crisp, fresh air of the sunup, there was a scent of something different in the oak, something that Fallingpaw had never smelled before, her whiskers trembled as she looked around frantically. She saw nothing, Fallingpaw ears instantly flicked around as she tried closing in on some cats that were passing through. "Maybe they have seen Yellowpaw...." Fallingpaw's mind trailed off as she looked down to the cats that began to approach the oak tree, Fallingpaw tightly clung to the branch listening to the cats speak to each other.

"If I see another trespassing Kittypet. I swear I will gouge their very dumb eyes out from their tiny head of theirs!" Scowled a Black and grey She-cat as she dug up at the ground while walking.

"That sounds so fun! I feel like I haven't skinned another kittypet in months!" Exclaimed a tall She-cat as she stopped leading. " Do you think here is good enough?"

"Yeah. We are only doing this cause of that stupid Brick saw a Kittypet, Honestly-" the black cat let out a heavy sigh of annoyance. "He is so pedantic, I wish we were alive when Scourge was leader. Now that cat knew how to take charge."

"You meowed it! Who does Brick think he is? Clearly, Venom is a much better cat to lead" agreed the tall she-cat

Fallingpaw looked down curiously "what weird names, I bet they are those rogues that Spaghetti and Meatball" Fallingpaw was in deep thought. Within a few heartbeats, the two she-cats started to walk back in the direction they approached from,"Maybe their hiss is louder than their claws."

Fallingpaw waited upon the branch till she couldn't hear or see the two she-cats then carefully scramble down the trunk of the oak and onto the dew covered moss. Her heart was racing with curiosity, "maybe they know of Timberkit and Smokebreeze" Fallingpaw then blank out of realisation "no the chances are low....little to none." She then retraced her pawsteps and set up a nest, Fallingpaw sorted out a pile of leaves making them somewhat comfortable for her to sink into sleep with. Fallingpaw laid down in her nest and placed her chin on her paws, trying to relax in the open forest alone.

Yellowpaw raced through the forest, her pelt was missing clumps as fur. Her eyes darted back and forth looking for her sister. There was a musty, stale scent of cats that had passed through but nothing else. Yellowpaw stalked around an oak tree that stood tall, its roots dug into the soil leaving clumps of bare roots blanketed in moss. Yellowpaw circled the oak carefully and tasted the air, there was a stale, familiar scent. "Fallingpaw was here and recently!" Yellowpaw's paws tingled with joy her pelt stood on end she was that excited, she carefully followed the scent to a large clearing with leave scattered on the grass. Yellowpaw looked around in the pitch black trying to make out the shape of her sister. Her heart raced as she poked around the mounds of plants and anywhere which could be labelled as a suitable nest, the last strand of hope snapped, there were too many scents for Yellowpaw to find which way Fallingpaw went. Yellowpaw slunk into a tree's mass of roots covered by soil and moss and fell asleep to general breeze that lapped through the gaps of the roots, ruffling her fur.

Yellowpaw sniffed the air eagerly tasting the sweet fresh smell of rabbit. She stalked towards the rabbit, carefully she trod over a stick and pounced. Yellowpaw's claws were extended in hunger as she clawed at the rump of the rabbit only to startle it and have it race into its burrow that was only a few fox-lengths away. "Fox Dung!" Hissed Yellowpaw in frustration "I was looking forward to a nice plump rabbit" Yellowpaw shook out her pelt as her collar jingled around her throat. Yellowpaw again slid into a lazy crouch and sniffed around a few badger lengths away from the rabbit burrow and heard mouse. She got closer stalking to it, her heart was racing as she got closer and closer until she sprung into the air and landed on the mouse biting it in the neck. Its warmth poured into her mouth as she crouched over and devoured the mouse.
