3. Opportunity
Carmella's POV
"Carmellaaaa!" a girl screeched behind me. I turn around and saw Francine running to me. Even though the hallway is filled with students, they gave her a way to walk, in this case run. Like I said, she's really famous. Not just because she's gorgeous but also because her parents are shareholders of this university.
I beamed and waved at her. Without slowing down, she took my wrist and pulled me with her. Francine is inches taller than me. I'm 5 foot 3 and she's 5 foot 10. She's also stronger than me so when she pulled me, I can't do anything but run while she's just sashaying with her long legs like the model that she was. She quit modeling a year ago.
"France! Where are we going?" I bellowed. She just ignored me. She's too focused in running.
Looking at the surrounding, we're going to the direction of the football field. We, more like, she likes staying at the football field because of the players that she ogles at when they play. Okay, maybe me too. She's said that she's loyal to Keith but she also reasoned that it's not wrong to appreciate the God given blessing of good looking men on the field especially when they run around half naked, displaying their rock hard abs.
We stopped on the bleachers. Thankfully, there's no football practice at this time, or else we would both be too distracted to even talk. She released my wrist and sat down on the bleacher. She tapped the space beside her, gesturing for me to take a sit. A huge smile plastered on her face. I followed and sat beside her.
She clasped both my shoulders and shook me.
"Woah. France, that's dizzying." I commented. Nevertheless, she stopped shaking me but remained clasping my shoulders firmly.
"I have a great news!" she barked. She blinked her big round eyes and widened her smile. I'm not sure how she does it, widening her already wide smile wider. Maybe because she was once a model? I'm not sure but my interest was piqued with the news.
Great news?
I voiced out my question and she answered in a shriek.
"I found you a job!" Her enormous smile never left her beautiful face.
"What?!" I shrieked back. She then shook me again, harder. "Hey!" I clasped my hands on her arms to stop her from shaking me.
"I said. I. Found. You. A. Job." Very slowly she repeated. Looking at me like I'm stupid. My mouth lifted up in a smile, widening every second, mirroring her own smile.
"Oh my goodness! You did?!" I cannot believe what she said. She found me a job overnight? How great was that?
"Yes! You'll be a personal tutor." She sobered. Her hands unclasping on my shoulder then reaching for my hands she held them.
"A personal tutor?" I asked incredulously. It's the best part time job that I could get. It's close to what I study. And everyone knows my passion in teaching.
"Stop repeating what I say." She said. Swatting my hands.
"Ow. Okay, I won't but where did you get this job?" I queried.
"Well, technically I didn't get the job, you will, if you do great with the interview." I swatted her hands back, I scowled playfully. She's being sarcastic, again.
"Just kidding. Last night after we talked on the phone, Keith called me and I kinda told him your problem." She explained. My eyes enlarging in shock.
