Elliot's POV

As the day neared that I was planning on telling Kathy that I wanted a divorce so I could be with Liv, the accident came.

I was at my lawyer's office, drafting the divorce papers, when I got a frantic call from Cragen, saying that Liv and Kathy had been in an accident. I couldn't have been more freaking scared.

I rushed to the hospital, my heart beating out of my chest as I thought I was going to lose Kathy, my son, and Liv. I barely parked my car before running in, looking for them, but I only saw the crew.

"Where are they?!" I cried as I neared them.

"Kathy is in a room, the baby is in the nursery, and Liv is still getting checked out," Fin spoke in a shaky voice. I shook my head.

"Are they okay?" I breathed, tears stinging my eyes.

"Yeah. They said someone can see Kathy soon." Finn replied, and I nodded slowly.

I paced the waiting room, and I swear you could see the path I took because I did it for so long. Finally, a doctor came out.

"Kathy Stabler's family?" he asked, and we all stepped forward.

"We are." Fin spoke, and the doctor's eyes went wide.

"Who is her husband?" He asked.

"I am," I replied, and he nodded.

"Sir, your wife is doing great. She delivered your son, and he is healthy, just a little early, but will be fine. She has a broken wrist and did flat line in the field, so we are keeping her overnight for observations." He spoke and I nodded.

"Okay, can I see her?" I asked and he nodded.

I was led back to Kathy's room, and I stood outside her door for a moment, looking at how bruised she was. She looked up at me and smiled, so I couldn't run away. I opened the door and walked in.

"Hey. How ya feeling?" I asked quietly, and she shrugged slowly.

"Sore, but happy. Have you seen him yet?" She asked with a large smile, and I shook my head.

"No, not yet," I replied, and then we sat in silence.

"Do you know how Liv is?" Kathy said quietly, and I shook my head.

"No, she was still getting looked at. What happened?" I asked, and she sighed.

"We were just talking, on the way to my appointment, when a drunk driver hit us. It was so scary, and Liv was bleeding, but she still helped me. We owe her everything." Kathy said, speaking the last part with so much emotion.

"You know what, I'm going to see her real quick. Thank her for saving you and the baby. Which we need to figure out a name." I spoke.

"Elliot Jr." She smiled, and my eyes went wide.

"Really?" I questioned and she nodded.

"Yeah, and we can call him Eli for short since we can't have two 'Elliot's running around." She chuckled. I smiled and stood up and kissed her head, showing her that I agreed with the name of our son, and I walked out, trying to find Liv.

I walked around for a while, trying to find Olivia, and when I found her room, with the help from a nurse, and pulling some strings because I'm her only family.

Liv was laying on the bed, her legs pulled to her chest, and her body shook every once and a while, as she was crying. I swallowed hard and knocked lightly on the door before entering.

"Liv." I breathed, and she just closed her eyes tighter, and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Go away." She whimpered, but I sat down on the chair next to her bed, and gently touched her cheek.

"Babe, what's wrong?" I asked quietly, and she looked at me, her brown eyes holding so much pain.

"The only time I knew was after I lost it." She cried, and I looked at her with confusion, before thinking I knew what was wrong.

"It wasn't your fault. You lost control after the car was hit." I replied, but she shook her head.

"I was pregnant. I lost our baby, El." She sobbed, and tears ran down my own cheeks.

"Oh, Liv." I breathed, before climbing into the bed with her and holding her close, as her small body shook in my arms.

"I want a baby so bad, but I lost it. I'm so sorry El! I should have protected it." She sobbed, and I felt my heart break into a million pieces.

"Baby, it wasn't your fault. You couldn't stop what happened. Baby, I'm so sorry." I breathed, and I started to feel the hurt that she was. We lost our baby. I know that we didn't even know that there was a baby, but it still hurt like hell.

"I'm sorry, El." She cried over and over again, and I just kept my arms wrapped around her, my own tears on my cheeks. I rubbed her back trying to calm her, but she was destroyed.

She eventually fell asleep, and I kissed her forehead gently before heading out. Fin, Munch, Cassidy, and Cragen were sitting outside on a row of chairs, far enough away that they couldn't hear what happened.

"How is she?" Cassidy spoke as he stood up, real concern in his eyes, but she was mine so he can fuck off, but I was upset and didn't have a come back for the ass.

"Shitty. She finally fell asleep." I choked, and Fin noticed. When I walked away to get some air quickly, he followed.

"Stabler, what's wrong?" He asked, and I stopped and turned around, putting on a brave face.

"I just hate seeing her like that. She's my best friend and is always so strong, but she's broken." I breathed, and he nodded slowly.

"Elliot, I know that you two are in love. It's pretty clear, so what really happened to Benson? Cause either you tell me, or I'm asking her Doctor, as her big brother." Fin replied, and I started to cry, for the first time in front of Fin. I hated to show weakness, but I had to, I couldn't stop myself.

He just stood near me as I cried, and once I had stopped I looked at him and frowned.

"Liv was pregnant, and neither of us knew. She lost the baby in the crash." I whimpered. He frowned and pulled me into a quick hug before grabbing me by my shoulders.

"Elliot, you both will pull through this. Just be there for Liv. She'll need you a lot right now." He spoke and I nodded but frowned.

"I have another son, and Kathy is going to need help." I sighed.

"Liv needs your help too. I can't tell you how to do it, but somehow don't be a dick, and try to hurt both of them as little as possible." Fin warned.
