Battling for Her

Serena POV

   After History, we continued on with our day, me and Ash decided to sit next to each other for every class since I'm new and didn't know anyone there.
    Girls kept eyeing Ash and trying to flirt, these are the times I'm thankful he's dense as fuck. "Ash come on! We're gonna gonna be late!" He agreed and we rushed to Pokémon Battling Class.
As we got there, there were a lot of students, eyeing Ash, wide-eyed.
"Ash why are they staring at you?" I asked, forgetting a very important trait about him...
"I'm the Pokémon Master remember?", he whispered to me.
I felt so stupid, I completely forgot, oh well, it will be interesting to see who will battle Ash if he battles.
"KETCHUM! Come over here!", the teacher instructed Ash, "Just because you're famous, don't mean you'll be treated special, GOT IT?!"
Ash looked relieved, "Thank you sir, I was hoping you'd say that, I prefer to battle fairly." I smiled at Ash's purity, he's so perfect, I really need to confess soon... before someone else does...I mentally sighed.
The teacher smirked at him, "You're good kid, now get on out to the Battle field, ALEX! YOU COME OUT TOO!"
I was shocked, I remembered that kid! He got onto the Battle Field and shook hands with Ash, he had a smirk on his face, and said something to Ash, but I couldn't hear it...

Ash POV

"If I win, I get Serena, and you have to stay away from her!" Alex said into my ear.
"Why are you always out to get me? I'm not loosing to you, I never have and I never will!" I started getting angry, but didn't show it, knowing that's what he wants.
"Alright, let's use all 6 of our Pokémon in battle, and see who wins!" I smirked, "I'm not loosing and if I somehow, in a parallel universe, actually lose to you, I would never give up Serena, so she's not on the line, she's not property, scumbag!"
"ALL RIGHT, BEGIN!" The teacher yelled, we went back to our spots and he let out a Scyther while I let out Hawlucha. (A/N: I am not very good with Battling stuff but these were the Pokémon used: Hawlucha Vs. Scyther and Gliscor, Goodra Vs. Vaporeon and Victoreebel, Pikachu Vs. Blastoise, and Greninja Vs. Gardevoir. I'm doing the scene for Greninja and Gardevoir though)

"Blastoise is unable to battle!", I heard the teacher say, all my other Pokémon fainted except Hawlucha, but I didn't want to use him again, "Pikachu, come back!" Pikachu came and ran right next to me.
"I have one more trick up my sleeve, GARDEVOIR, come out!" I smiled, remembering my battle with Diantha and how I could use my Pokémon and experience to my advantage.
"In that case, GRENINJA, I CHOOSE YOU!" I heard whoops and hollers coming from the audience, I even saw Serena cheering me on. That made me feel really confident, 'I can't loose with her watching!' I thought, and started battling, "GRENINJA, USE WATER SHURIKEN!" Alex saw it coming,"DODGE IT!" He yelled.
(A/N: By this point, Gardevoir was at low HP , ~%25 while Greninja was at medium, ~%50)

Alex looked really frustrated with me, and it was my turn to strike, "Greninja, use Double Team and Hydro Pump on Gardevoir!" Greninja used Double Team and circled Gardevoir, it was blasted by water, and looked like it was about to faint any minute now.
"GARDEVOIR! Mega-Evolve!" Alex said, while Ash smirked, happy Alex finally decided to take it up a notch, "Alright, Greninja! Let us battle with our full power!" Ash and Greninja bonded, releasing Ash-Greninja, Alex looked Dumbfounded, knowing his plan might not work. "Alright Greninja, let's go!" (A/N: I don't know Ash-Greninja's moves, so skipping to Greninja winning)
...The smoke from the combined moves cleared, showing that Mega-Gardevoir had Fainted! "GARDEVOIR HAS FAINTED! ASH KETCHUM IS THE WINNER!", Mr. Red yelled out.
I smiled, but felt weak from the battle, but was glad I won!
"GO ASH! WOO-HOO! YAY! WOOO! YEAH!", Could be heard from the audience. Serena came over as I was returning Greninja. "Hey Ash, are you okay? You look tired or dizzy, here, have some water!" I gladly took it and went back to where everyone was sitting, feeling a bit faint, I didn't want to collapse like the other times so I went to sit down.
Serena sat next me, congratulating me on my win. "Thanks, but I do feel a bit faint from combining into Ash-Greninja...".
As I was talking to Serena, a bunch of people started swarming me, asking me for my autograph, and other things, one girl even tried to take my cap, but I quickly snatched it back. "Please leave Ash alone! He's very tired! Please go! SHU! SHU!" She tried swatting them away, and it worked, I got up, grabbed her hand and walked over across the Arena, We sat down on the other benches, "Hey Serena, I need to tell you something", she had a serious look on her face, "What is it Ash?", I looked over to her and sighed, "Have you met that Alex kid? He's in our group of friends but doesn't usually hang with us, and he straight-up hates me for some reason...", she nodded, "Yeah, I met him on the first day in the Bus along with the other guys, Clemont introduced me to him and the others, he wouldn't quit staring at me, he's such a creep!"
   "Yeah, unsurprising, because he said whoever won the battle would get you, and I told him you weren't property, either way, I really don't like him, so stay away from him, who knows what he will try on you..." She blushed at the thought of two boys fighting for her, "Wait does that mean-never mind."
   She looked a bit confused as to why Alex is doing this, so I decided to comfort her, "Don't worry Serena, I'll always be there to protect you, just call me over and I'll be there." She smiled and blushed. At that moment, I realized, I need to confess, soon, before anyone else does, I love her, I don't want her taken away from me...
