New Friend or Enemy?

*Sangwoo POV*

"Now, now guys, I just want to make up for last time, be friends, form a truce, ya know?", I smile at them, and they look back at me questionably.

Ash took a step forward, shielding Serena, "Why should we trust you or want to be friends with you?"

I look over at Bum, his eyes looking at the ground, we made eye contact and he quickly put his gaze back to the ground.

*Yoon Bum POV*

I hope Sangwoo persuades them, all we really want is a friendship, everyone thinks Sangwoo looks mean and they won't be around me either because I'm with him. Sangwoo had mental trouble ever since his parents died. He's abused me, yes, but it's all for his sake. I'll do whatever it takes to make him happy again. I've been with him for about a year now and my efforts are slowly working. I was hoping making some friends would help him, since he's only ever around me.

Ash and Serena... their relationship is how I want mine with Sangwoo, and that's why I want him to have friends, so that he can be happy...WE can be happy. Just like Serena and Ash. They're all so cheerful and colorful...maybe they could help me open up Sangwoo's heart.

"U-um guys?...Look, I know w-we got o-off at-", Sangwoo grabs my shoulder, "Stop mumbling, they won't hear you.", he looks at me and I smile, he's right, "Right, sorry. I know we g-got off at a bad start b-but we truly want to become friends! I can explain l-later but I just want to sort things out first. You guys s-seem like a very colorful and bright group of people. We want friends like that, to make our lives a bit more bright too. So please, think about it. Contact me when you make up your minds, Serena. Bye!"

I grab Sangwoo's hand and we walk away, I hope they agree to our friendship, they seem like such a happy bunch.

*Serena POV*

"Ash, what do you think?", he looks at me with a confused looks on his face.

"I don't know, I want to trust Bum but Sangwoo tried to hurt you, I'm scared what the outcome will be.", he says, Ash sounds...conflicted but he's keeping his cool. It's not easy to do that.

"Guys, I know we got off at a bad start but I want to help out Yoon Bum, I'm gonna text him later and see his reasons behind the new friendship but for now, I think we should trust him, not so sure about Sangwoo yet though.", I say as Clemont steps closer, "You're a good leader Serena, that's a good trait of yours!"

I thanked him and we all safely returned home, I'm glad Ash finally gets to stay with his mom again. She doesn't have to worry anymore. I'll have to text Bum tomorrow and see what's up.

For now...I'll just rest, we all needed some rest, looks like my mom already fell asleep on the couch. I put a blanket on her and turned off the lights, "Goodnight mom, love you.", I kiss her on the cheek and walk up stairs to my room. I let out my Pokémon so they can rest too. "Goodnight you guys! You haven't battled in a while, tomorrow morning I'll have you guys battle before I text Bum. You must want to stretch your legs, sweet dreams!" I turn off my light and finally fall asleep. Today was tiring, but at least Ash was in it, I smile as I fall asleep with the thought of him in my mind.
