"Hey, Theo?" Burr asked as the two lowered to sit on a park bench. She smiled warmly before turning to face Aaron, her face still attempting to remove the redness. "Uhm... oh god- how do I say this..?"

Theodosia's smile dropped into a sad frown, "please don't say you'll break up with me- on a date. You can leave after our date- whatever you want to call it, but please, please just not on our-"

"Theo- I wasn't gonna break up with someone as perfect as you," Burr smiled, brushing a hand against her cheek and wiping the loose strands of hair from her face.

Her lips curled upwards, forcing her cheeks to redden even more. Aaron thought she was beautiful when she smiled; he thought she was beautiful whenever she did anything actually. He thought she was beautiful whenever she woke up after sleeping with her hair wet and it'd frizz up; she was beautiful whenever she ate her pancakes slowly and looked up at Aaron's smiling face after every bite; she was beautiful when she'd drag Aaron through different stores, trying to find a waterproof, red lipliner; she was beautiful whenever Aaron made a joke she didn't understand so she cocked her head to the side like a dog; she was beautiful whenever she chewed the end of the pen she had borrowed from Aaron subconsciously; but, most importantly, he thought she was beautiful when he smiled because the memories of the frizzed-up hair and the glances and the red lip-liner and the head tilts and the pen-chewing came flooding back like they were happening all at once.

Theo noticed Aaron's eyes begin to water and instantly started asking if he was alright to which he replied two yeahs and an "i love you". Silence passed between them whilst their hands cupped each other's and their eyes connected with mouths curved perfectly into smiles that just screamed "I love you". "Do you remember when I asked you out?" Aaron asked, looking down at his legs.

"Yeah, how could I forget?" she rhetorically asked and then proceeded to mock the younger Aaron. "'Theodosia Bartow - if that is your name, it says it on your folder - I've been watching you from a distance and- oh, not in the creepy way I promise, but uhm.. I think you're pretty and you have a very attractive smile so, uhm, want to go get frozen yogurt on a day similar to today?'"

"Oh my god please don't. There are cHiLdReN."

"I'm just joking," Theo laughed a little, melting Aaron's heart in an instance. The two kissed for a second or two then turned to watch the sun in the sky. Theo lay her head on Aaron's shoulder. Aaron wrapped his arm around her. Life was good. And Aaron was scared that he was just about to fuck this all up.

"Theo..?" he said, his voice breaking midway, diluting it into a whisper.

"Yes, Aaron?"

"I love you." Aaron took a breather and stood in front of Theo. "And I will never let anyone hurt you, you know that?"

Theo looked panicked.

"I know we've only been dating three years and, yeah, we've only had three dates.. b-but that's only because you like it more when we eat pizza and watch bad comedies together..! But.. I-" Aaron got down on one knee, pulling a black ring box out of his pocket. "I wanted to know if you'd do me the honour of being my wife..?"

Theo stood and, wether it was of shock or delight, Aaron couldn't tell. She got down to her knees, cupping her nose and mouth with both of her hands and started crying. She composed herself after a while and said 'yes' at least ten times before they both got to their feet and hugged. Whilst Aaron grinned with his eyes closed over Theo's shoulder, Theodosia buried her head into Aaron's shoulder, wetting it with tears of happiness.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
