I'm backstage at the moment. I am absorbed in my thoughts, spacing out, when CM Punk bumps into me. We've been friends awhile. I think he has plans of turning that "friends" into something more than that..
"Hey there, pretty."
"What's up, Phil?"
"I have a match tonight. I think I would have a better chance of winning if you and I kinda.."
"Swapped spit?"
"A nicer way of putting it would be kissing, but basically the same idea, yea."
"When's your match?"
"Not to brag or anything, but it's the main event."
"Definitely bragging."
"No! Just.. just letting you know, that's all."
"It's cold out."
"Are you trying to change the subject?"
"It backfired, didn't it?"
"Yea, kinda. But I do believe you, it really is cold out. Can I still get that kiss, though?"
"Let me think about it for a second. No."
"Why not?"
"We're not dating. I don't wanna be friends with benefits, you know."
"No, not at all. Fine.." he stood there thinking for a second. "If you and I kiss, and you like it, I mean, I know I will, but if YOU like it, can we date? I'll tell Steph and Triple H all about it if you say yes."
"How 'bout you DON'T tell Steph and Triple H?"
"Deal! Kiss?"
"Aw, sure. Be happy I'm nice to you."
"Oh, I'm gay."
"What?"
" 'Gay' in the sense 'happy!' 'Cuz you said for me to be happy you're nice to me!"
"You almost had me there a sec, like 'woah.' "
He chuckled, slightly sounding evil, but I knew he was joking. Then we both leaned in to kiss. I'm not going to say 'our lips molded together perfectly,' or 'our lips were perfectly in sync,' because the truth is, nothing is perfect. At least not on Earth. But, somewhat, the kiss seems almost certainly on the cusp of exquisiteness. OK- we both realized it was a prolonged kiss. We pulled away at the same time.
Gosh, I realized I was smiling. He was too.
"Oh, my chance is HIGH. Thanks.. girlfriend." said Phil.
"Hey, you're welcome." I said.
He hugged me.
"OK, don't forget that I have a match. Don't forget to watch it."
"I won't!"
Then he walked away.
I don't think we really 'loved' each other right now, but.. time will tell, you know?
The first matches were exciting, with Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton versus John Cena and Big Show. After them, was a mixed gender team match: my sister, Marina with Cody Rhodes versus newcomer Monica, Alberto's daughter (both Marina and Monica are from the fanfic 'Diva Forever'), with The Miz.
This should be good.
I could hear in the distance Alberto saying to Moni: "Go, mi'ja!"
Typical of a father.
Marina's entrance came first, Cody's second, Moni's third, and Miz's fourth. Awesome!
"Wow, can you BELIEVE these are newbies in the ring with professional wrestlers? I mean, I still can't believe it!" I say, rolling my eyes at my commentator job.
"I know, Gloria! It truly is unbelievable! Look, Moni kicking Marina in the abdomen, ouch!" says Michael Cole.
"Ooh, and that reversal! Marina catches the leg, twisting it! This is beastly behavior!" I say.
Moni is about to tap out. This is crucial. She is close to the ropes. But before she can even grip it, Marina drags her along. Still close to the ropes. Moni tags The Miz and Marina tags Cody. Moni and Marina cause some drama to come about outside the ring.
This all while Miz and Cody are beating one another to pain.
"Man, this is like a soap opera: WWE Style!" I say. That causes JBL to laugh. Quite typical of him.
"Would you look at what's trending! Moni versus Marina! Wow!" says Michael.
Miz has Cody in a pin, ooh. Cody kicks out. Moni and Marina were in the ring briefly but not before the ref told them to go back to the ropes. Again, Cody tags Marina and The Miz does the same with Moni, while winking at her. Moni distracted while coming into the ring, Marina sees the opportunity to kick her in the back. She bends down in pain and Marina proceeds to do what her partner Cody does: bend down as well and slap her. Marina does her signature move. Moni taps out, for the win.
"What an intense match!" says Lawler.
The ref holds Cody's and Marina's arms in victory. Marina's theme song, 'Obsession' by Sky Ferreira, comes on. Sort of lame. I'm kidding. Cody and Marina eventually go back to their locker rooms, respectively.
Now for the main event: CM Punk and Daniel Bryan against The Wyatt Family.
Gosh, I hate The Wyatt Family.
Phil's song comes on: 'Cult of Personality' by Living Colour.
I love this song!
He does his little routine before coming up to the ring. When coming up to the ring, he winks at me.
"Are you.. and CM Punk dating, Gloria?" Michael asks me.
"Do you need to know?" I ask him.
"Counter-question. Yes, I think, personally, we ALL need to know."
I sigh. "Yes, we're dating."
This causes Phil to smile. Cheesy.
"Well then, you better cheer him on." says Lawler. I literally would give anything not to be a commentator right now.
Then Daniel's this-gon'-be-good theme song starts playing. The audience starts chanting, "YES! YES! YES!"
Even I start chanting it. Phil starts chanting it as well.
"I love this!" says Michael.
"Who doesn't?" I say.
"True," he says.
With hardship, the Best In The World and Daniel Bryan are victors.
SmackDown ends; and Phil and I meet up backstage.
"Hey, Phil. That was an impressive win."
"I know.."
"Ha, you're cocky."
"I know, come here!"
"Sorry, but clean up. You're all sweaty."
"That's wrestling for ya,"
"Tell me something I don't know."
He chuckles; takes awhile to clean up.
While Marina and Cody go party with everyone at one of Seattle's best nightclubs, while Phil and I drive our vehicles to his room at the hotel he's staying at.
