It's been a couple of days since Maya and Riley found out about Mark and Topanga. It's Friday morning. They get to school and head to their lockers
Riley - Maya. It's been like a week since they've been together.
Maya - How do you know it's been only a week?
Riley - Well I mean, it's been a week since they told us.. wait you think it could have been more than a week?
Maya - Well Think about it. You ask your mom if she can hire someone new and she finds someone so quick. I doubt that he was just walking through the neighborhood and just asked for a job.
Riley - So what are you saying.
Maya - What if they've been seeing each other for a while but your mom didn't know how to tell you.
Riley - So she takes advantage of the fact that I want to be a teenager.

Riley - daddy can I talk to you alone?
Maya - Riley what are you doing?!
Riley takes her fathers hand and rushes to his classroom. She runs and locks both doors before Maya could get in and stop her.
Riley - dad I need to tell you something.
Riley doesn't hesitate to say
Riley - Moms seeing someone. And I think she's been seeing him for a while. And I don't know why this is happening dad how could this be happening. How could you allow this?!
Maya - Riley Mathews you open this door right now. Ring Power!
Riley opens the door
Mr. Mathews - Girls. Your mother told me on the day that she met a man at work. She told me that he asked her out on a date and asked for my blessing. I told her whatever she wants.
Maya & Riley - You know?
Maya - Mathews how are you okay with this?
Mr. Mathews - Girls, when you get older you'll have a better understanding of adults. Sometimes in order for someone to be happy, they have to fly on their own so that they can grow and be the person they want to be. Your mother hasnt been happy. So I let her fly on her own. I love your mother very much and I will continue to love her till the day that I die.
Maya and Riley hold hands and rest on each others shoulders in silence..
