Smackle - Riley used to smile when she thought no one was looking at her
Lucas - Now when I look at her she doesn't
Smackle - She's not telling us something
Maya - Okay guys nothing's wrong
Zay - Come on let's go watch a movie
The night had ended, the weekend was over. When Monday came everyone was at school, Riley was at her locker*
Alex - Hey sunshine
Riley - Hi
Riley - Hey thank you for Saturday night.
Alex - Don't mention it, I've noticed that you hadn't been yourself lately, I was happy to see you smile.
Riley - We should do that again
Alex - I agree.
Alex - Hey I gotta get to class, I'll text you later
Alex leaves Riley, Maya and Zay approach her*
Riley - Hey guys
Zay - You have to tell Lucas Smackle and Farkle about your parents
Riley - What? Why?
Maya - They're starting to notice that you aren't yourself
Riley - I don't feel like telling anyone
Maya - Honey, we don't like keeping secrets
Zay - Yeah, lately it feels like we've been keeping too much secrets from eachother
Riley - Look guys, I'm just not ready okay
Riley slams her locker and walks away. Maya and Zay give eachother a look.
Zay - Something else is going on in that head of hers
Maya - I agree
Everyone goes to class. Zay, Smackle, Riley, and Lucas all have film class together*
Miss. Garci - okay class, for the midterm you all are going to be partnered up of groups of two, you will make a film. You will pick a topic, you can either be in the movie, or have other people be in it. The minimum time is 20 minutes. So Zay and Smackle, Terri and Jim, Darby and Yogi, Sarah and Nicole, Lucas and Riley, and Jonah and Marie. You have less than two weeks to complete it. So get to work
Riley smiles at Lucas, Lucas gives her a half ass smile and looks down at his paper
Riley - So do you want to get together after school? My moms?
Lucas - Yeah sure
Lucas leaves as soon as the bell rings leaving Riley behind asking herself what she did wrong to make him leave so fast. The day goes on, schools over, and Riley heads over to her moms bakery shop.
