It's the morning after. Shawn, Maya, Cory, and Riley ended up falling asleep in the living room. Cory noticed a door opening, Topanga.
Cory - Topanga where have you been?
Topanga- Shhhhh
She takes Cory into their bedroom quietly
Cory - What happened?
Topanga- I fought really hard Cory. I tried I really did
Cory - they brushed it off, how could they? She's 16.
Topanga- he's not getting away with this. We're going to get a trial. We are going to put this horrible man away
Cory - Talk to Riley. She thinks she ruined your happiness
Topanga- What? How could she think that?
Cory - Talk to her.
When they walk back into the living room everyone seems to be up. Shawn and Maya decide to go home, they take Cory and Auggie with them to let Topanga and Riley talk.
Topanga - Eggs and bacon, with some French toast on the side and orange juice
Topanga smiles at her daughter as she puts her breakfast in front of her
Riley - What's going to happen mom?
Topanga - Well, I am trying really hard to make this right honey.
Riley - He paid it off didn't he?
Topanga- Yes
Riley - how? I mean don't they need like a statement of mine? Why haven't the police come and talk to me? Do they not care?
Topanga - Marks lawyers are also working really hard to make this go away.
Riley - It's not right..
Topanga - Were not done fighting Riley.
Riley - I'm just really tired mom. I want this to be over, I don't ever want to think about this again.
Topanga - Is it true? That you didn't tell anyone because you thought it would ruin my happiness?
Riley shakes her head yes
Topanga - I love you, your little brother, and your father too much to ever let anything horrible happen to you. Don't ever think that again. You can never ruin my happiness because YOU are my happiness. You all are the reason why I am who I am, do not ever forget that
Riley and her mother share a hug, they can't seem to let go of each other.
